How can i format my drive protected usb apacer

Here are the 3 solutions I'm aware of.
1. Look for a small switch on the side and move it to the other position. 2. From windows explorer, right click on stick under My Computer-> properties->take the tick out of read-only box. 3. Download and run this file. It will format your USB even if it is write protected. http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.1.zip

I had your problem too but i solve it after ours of searching the internet. I tried everything but nothing worked! try deleting single files 1 at a time until there is none even skip 1 if cant delete

Save the contents in the pen drive (this process will delete all the files in ur pen drive) and then download this http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.8A.zip,unzip it n run.....click "Format". Make sure u have connected only the pen drive u wanna recover to computer,this tool is very blind n it doesnt allow u to choose which removable drive to format..it formats the first removable disk (seems so). Gud luck

It would depend on your Operating System. If you are using Windows 98 you'll need the drivers from your CD or from Apacer's website. The CD also has tools to perform various functions which might include protecting and unprotecting your flash disk.

ok, i found having the flashdrive in a usb hub doesn't help this (http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.1.zip ) repair kit to work cuz it can't recognize the flash drive.
so i took ejected it and put it straight into the computer usb and then tried again to format it and hooray. it formatted.
