So, i've got this acer laptop with windows xp installed on it. I installed superantispyware on it, and then avira antivir personal(the free version), after the first reboot(which was right after the complete scan runned after the installation), no icons on the desktop, and the start menu is gone too. Cannot start task manager, tried to run in safe mode, but the screen was blank there too.
Some other popular spyware removal software includes Anti-********, Spyware & spyware removal software , Max Secure Spyware Detector, and Deluxe Spy-Kill utilities. These are just some of the more popular spyware removal software. It's up to you which one you choose, but try to look for reputable ones. Look at reviews and ask for referrals from friends.
The cause of this problems is corrupted system files cause by the anti-virus or spyware... follow steps below for solutions.
Step 1: install the OS and install the spyware and anti-virus. set your spyware and anti-virus configuration to delete the files manually first if they detect a virus or spyware in your computer..
Step 2: Run the first scanned for your anti-virus and spyware.. after the scan is complete you will be ask by spyware and anti-virus what will you do in the detected viruses or spyware in your computer? but don't decide yet.. check the location of the files that is detected.. you must not delete any files detected in the "Windows Directory" mostly it is located at C:\Windows\, because it will cause your Operating System to corrupt if files is deleted in that section.. try ignoring or adding the files in exception in the anti-virus or spyware exception list (I recommended adding to exception list), and you may proceed with the others.. after complete scannng put the setting of your anti-virus and spyware to its default settings..

@Gurpreet_MCT: tried, the problem still occurs. Seems like the system itself doesn't notice that something is wrong.
