Kodak Z612 won't turn on

I have a Kodak Easyshare Z612, the problem is that when you turn on the camera the green light flashes four times then shuts off. The only position the camera turns on at is when it is in the Favorite mode and shows the Demo Photos. I can access the menu and have tried to reset the camera but with no results. I have three batteries which are all fully charged and they do not help. What next,,,,Thank You.

While you turn try and turn it on slow twist and pull lens outwards(gently while power on /off) and it will retract back in and power on.Work perfectly after.

Hye! can we use umberella lights with this cemers kodak z612 ?

To use umbrella lights, you need a hotshoe connection on top of the camera to attach a radio transmitter. This would set off the umbrella lights. Some high-end DSLR cameras do this very well.

Kodak EasyShare Z612 Shuts down after taking a few pictures.

Question : What batteries can I use in my digital camera, and how long do they last?
Battery life depends on how you use your camera, the type of batteries you select, and how you handle the batteries.

Your camera is compatible with: KODAK Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery KLIC-8000 and KODAK CRV3 Lithium Batteries: A non-rechargeable battery. (so your battery might be in need of a change)

Using Your Camera

Some features, such as reviewing pictures and using the flash, require more power than others. Follow these guidelines to get the best use of your batteries:
  • Limit the time your camera is in Review mode.
  • Limit your use of the flash.
  • Use the LCD Dimmer or Auto Power Off features, if available on your camera.
  • Transfer your pictures to your computer using a compatible power adapter, camera dock, printer dock, or memory card reader.
  • Check that the latest firmware is installed on your camera. See Software, Driver & Firmware Downloads.
Handling Your Batteries
  • Wipe the battery contacts with a clean, dry cloth before loading it in your camera.
  • When using your camera in temperatures below 41° F (5° C), carry spare batteries and keep them warm.
  • Do not discard cold batteries that do not work; they may be usable when they return to room temperature.
  • Do not allow batteries to touch metal objects, including coins. Otherwise, the batteries may short-circuit, discharge energy, become hot, or leak.

No Flash function on Kodak Easyshare Z612

To both, I'm afraid you need to send the out camera for repair.

Camera flashes use a capacitor that holds the electric energy for the flash. It takes some time to charge and discharges very rapidly to generate the light pulse. Capacitors are notorious in their reliability. They tend to disconnect and die or short circuit and die.

In camera1234's case it might just died disconnected.

In sheranne case it might died short circuiting. In this case the camera should not be used since the battery might explode.
