Sound like the computer printer preferences "paper source" is set to bypass if set to "auto select" select the tray you want. Also make sure type of paper matches what is in printer.

The problem is in the printer settings of the file you are printing, if it is set to print from bypass tray. You can load paper into the bypass tray and it will fix it. If you have a Multi Function Product (MFP) commercial grade with multiple paper sources, this message may come up again. How to fix? In the file/documents properties (word, excell. PDF,etc.) go to the File menu OF THAT document and change the "paper set up/page settiings/paer source" from bypass TO Automatic or Auto Paper. Re save the file/document and it will save your new paper source settings. If someone sends you a file, or you upgraded to a bigger machine, this message may come up and you will have to make these cahnges due to the fact that the document was created with smaller product printer/page settings. The default auto paper on business MFP's is set for a tray, not a bypass tray.

Sharp mx3110n printer won't use bypass tray? Trying to print on glossy paper using that tray and it won't, it automatically switches to tray 1. Or can I just put glossy paper in tray 1?

Hello Laura,
Here is the pdf that explains how to set up th bypass tray; http://support.appstate.edu/sites/support.appstate.edu/files/MX3110%20USE%20SPECIAL%20PAPER%20IN%20THE%20BYPASS.pdf

The text of it is as follows;

TO USE SPECIAL PAPER IN THE BYPASS
? Press either the picture of the copier or press
paper select
? Load paper in the bypass
? Make sure the correct size shows up under
bypass tray
? If paper is not just plain paper press type and
size
? Choose paper type
? If you are printing to the bypass from your
computer you must also tell the print driver
under the paper tab what type of paper is in
the bypass if its not just plain paper
? The copier and the PC must match paper
types
? Press the X button to Accept

Good Luck!

Bypass tray has correct paper size but gives error message to add correct paper size. Won't print

Once you have the message, try removing the paper from the bypass tray, then introducing it again. Alternatively, leave the tray empty then send the data, when it asks for paper, introduce your 11 x 7, and it should work.

Tray1 Load LTR

Hi,

Hope this helps. Please check the printer properties before clicking Ok at print menu command. Now check the available paper tray handler. Try bypass, tray1 or MP tray.

Check also the default paper on Printer Menu command by pressing appropriate setup button. You can try also placing the paper on bypass try if available. The load LTR message means the machine waits a short bond paper on MP tray or on bypass tray.

Receiving a "load paper" error message; has to do with paper size

Don't know this printer that well. Open tray one and look in the back and see if there is wheel or slider where you can change the paper size.

Our 4506 message says load SEF letter

Check if the orientation of the printing document matches to the paper available in the copier's trays.
Load SEF letter: means Load Short Edge Feed letter (landscape).

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

Error message on 4050n printer "manually feed hp tough letter"

What error message is on the display?

To solve one common problem, try this: Take out the paper tray. Slide the blue fence at the back away from the paper (toward the back of the tray) then slide it back to the correct position for the size of the paper. Replace the paper tray and see if the error message still appears.
