Not exactly sure of the question but Geovision does allow for many 3rd party IP cameras to be connected. Check the Geovision website for a full compatibility list. I have personally worked with Hikvision and Vivotek with no issues. You will need to purchase and install a dongle. The dongle comes with software that you will need to install before using the USB dongle. The dongles come in 1, 2, 4, 8 & 16 camera capabilities. There is usually no cost difference to buy two 2 camera dongles or one 4 channel dongle. So get whatever you need. Just be aware that is will look odd having 4 USB sticks protruding from your NVR. There are also some internal dongle options that connect directly to the motherboard.

Q-See 8816 NVR system troubleshoot

To troubleshoot a Q-See NVR 8816 recorder, you can follow these general steps:
1. Power cycle the NVR: Turn off the NVR, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. This can help resolve temporary issues.
2. Check network connections: Ensure that all network cables are properly connected to the NVR and your network infrastructure. Make sure the network connection is stable and the cables are not damaged.
3. Check camera connections: Verify that the cameras are properly connected to the NVR. Ensure that the camera cables are securely plugged into the appropriate ports on the NVR and the cameras themselves.
4. Check power supply: Ensure that the NVR and cameras are receiving power. Check that all power cables and adapters are securely connected and functioning correctly.
5. Monitor display: Verify that the NVR is connected to a compatible display device (such as a monitor or TV) using the appropriate video output method (HDMI, VGA, etc.). Ensure that the display device is powered on and set to the correct input source.
6. Network configuration: Ensure that the NVR is correctly configured to connect to your network. Verify that the IP settings, including the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS settings, are properly configured.
7. Check hard drive status: If you are experiencing issues with recording or playback, verify the status of the hard drive installed in the NVR. Check if the hard drive is recognized and functioning properly. You may need to replace or reformat the hard drive if it is faulty.
8. Firmware updates: Check the Q-See website for any available firmware updates for your NVR model. Updating the firmware can resolve known issues and improve system performance.
9. Reset the NVR: If you are still experiencing problems, you can try performing a factory reset on the NVR. Refer to the user manual or contact Q-See customer support for specific instructions on how to reset your NVR model.
If the above troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue with your Q-See NVR 8816 recorder, it is recommended to contact Q-See customer support or consult their online support resources for further assistance. They will have the expertise and specific knowledge about your device to provide you with accurate guidance and solutions.

How to get the Zmodo security camera to show on tv monitor the internet is connected? Video shows on smart device only. How to get the video to connect to NVR system box on the tv?

Ok.. I'm assuming you have a relatively new NRV system with POE cameras. You can see the video on your smart device you must have the IP addresses correct in your NVR system. Connect from the NVR box to my TV using an HDMI cord. HDMI cord is one cord that attaches to the back of the NVR box where it says HDMI out and it goes to the back of the TV show where it says HDMI in. And then you must go to your TV menu and select HDMI input option. Sure hope this helps

Settings on camera

The settings on the camera can be accessed by searching for your camera on your network. 1. Connect the IP camera to your network making sure to use the correct power supply or POE switch. Then use the GGV-IP Device Utility which can be downloaded for free on the Geovision Website. This utility will find all of your IP cameras by IP address. To access the camera, use the default user name and password of admin/admin. You can update the camera settings including the IUP address, gateway, subnet mask, etc by choosing the updating settings section and then inserting the user name and password.

DVR Cplete Hung & freez

sounds like a software problem. could be on Windows or on the NVR software. best bet is to re-install windows formatting the hdd completely. once done re-install the NVR software. if that does not solve your problem have a look at the graphics cards in the unit as well as the hdd. they could be faulty.

Geovision ip camera is fuzzy over internet

It could be your internet streaming that is causing the issue. Too little bandwidth. You can also check the settings for your substream quality. Inside the DVR check the settings for the cameras.

Will the GV-FE110 Fisheye IP Camera need the Capture Card?

No. None of the IP cameras require a capture card. Instead the included Geovision software can be used to record the video. That's the beauty of Geovision. Good software at no cost when you use their cameras.

GeoVision GV-BX110D cameras unexplainably changing from color to black & white. Geovision NVR

This has to be caused by either a setting in the camera or the light level. If this is not the case, you probably need to RMA the camera. This is not normal unless the aperature is set wrong.

Hello I am getting to theGV-800 Geovision pag...

I am not sure what trouble shooting you have already done but a few of the basics are.

1.you cannot connect to your own Geo Web server within your own network, you will have to do it from outside. you can connect within if you use your internal ip address.
2.make sure your router is open for incoming and outgoing connections on ports 80, 4550, 5550.
3.Try connecting without the router if you have one.
4. Geovision works with internet explorer only, not Firefox,, try the DMmultview program that came on your software disk.
try those suggestions first
