First you need a english language pack (if windows 7)

To install a Language Interface Pack (LIP), double-click the file to open the setup program. To install a language pack, follow these steps:

  1. Open Region and Language by clicking the Start button need English language software in this computer - 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Region and Language.
  2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
  3. Under Display language, click Install/uninstall languages, and then follow the steps. 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

HOW can l change the language to English
All questions need FULL 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words.
On a computer, (the category posted), we also need the version of Windows and the Service Tag number which identifies to country issued.

I doubt this is really for a computer. They come for the country of origin and are set by the software operating system.

A few wild guesses below.

I have a Spanish computer with XP on. My problem is that this is obviously in Spanish and I want to change to English. Do I have to buy new software?
To change the default language on your computer, goto the control panel - Regional and Language Options. You will need to make changes on all three tabs- Regional Options, Languages & Advanced. Changing the defaults to English on each of these tabs will change most programs to the default language of the system settings. You will need to reboot your computer for these changes to take affect. Please be aware that the default language is changed for all users of the computer.
Some specialized programs that were installed may have to be reinstalled if all the languages were not installed by default, but overall you should not have any problems.

What is the softwere
To put it simply there are two parts to a computer. Hardware. Which is the physical machine itself and all of it's physical parts. ALL OFTHE PARTS.
SOFTWARE is the electronically encoded instructions that are used for the various parts of the computer to communicate with each other and with you.
A analogy could be this. Lets say you have a Typewriter. It can do nothing on it's own. Just sits there. You decide to type "Mary had a little lamb." on a piece of paper. You do this and pull the paper out of the machine.
You read it. the words are made up of symbols that don't have meaning until you put them into a language. That language, English. Is the software. The piece of paper is hardware. When you read it, i.e. interpret it. you are understanding it because you know the "code" of the English language.
The answer I'm giving you, on this page is like a software language that you and I agree upon so that you understand what I'm communicating to you. The Screen you are looking at is Hardware. The understanding of the words that you have, That's the 'software' language English.
In Computers there are languages for the machine, called machine language. There are languages that are mathematical. There is an alphabet and there is a language to convert these things to languages that people speak and languages the put the colors on the screen and where to put them. Lots of languages. Change language
The TI83 PLUS doe not originally come with localization application for other languages. But the apps can be installed on the calculator.

If you want to use another language than English, go to education.ti.com/downloads/software and apps and download the desired language application on the computer and transfer it to the calculator by means of a cable and TIconnect software. Once installed on calculator run the language app and select the new language.

If however you have already done that before and now you want to revert to English, then run the language application again and select [2:English]

hmmm!..simply go to the control panel and here is language and region icon....just click it and change the language that you want ( in this case english)....It may want XP cd ..just put the cd and it automatically change your prefferd language

You don't need any software.Press the Menu button. Select Setup (the wrench icon, or else the last item). Select Language (either the waving flag icon, or else "***/Language" where *** is Language in whatever language is currently selected. No matter the language, it should still say "Language" in English after the slash. In that menu, each language is labeled in that language, so you should see "English" as one of the options. Select that, and everything should be back in English.The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
