The question is a little confusing. If you mean the actual characters on the right side of the actual keyboard don't print, then you need a serviceman to fix it. If you mean it won't print on the right side of the carriage, then check that the platen is snapped in place, or that the carrier is not binding on the shaft (a little oil on the shaft and felt next to the body of the carrier). Hope this helps.

Linda, first of all, does the daisy wheel spin when the typewriter is first turned on? if it does, then you will feel assured that it is installed properly. Next, refer to your manual to key board settings. It will indicate that there are settings for normal standard English keyboard and somehow that setting may have been changed. It would be also be important to check the daisy wheel to see if it is compatible with standard English keyboard...Cheers, John

The typewriter is set in P.S. mode instead of 10 or 12. This switch is in lower left corner of keyboard.

The letters and numbers that can be typed before they are obscure are as below:
12345678 then the characters typed appear as 888=
next line on keyboard:
Add a CommentQWERTYUJJJ, THEN ASDFGHJ UUU, THEN ZXCVBN NNN/, I can't explain it, maybe it's totally broken.
Thanks P McD, it is the actual characters that don't print the correctly, for example when you push i,o,or p it prints the letter u only. The same goes for the next 2 lines. Probably is stuffed!!
