What did you do just prior to the HD showing it was only 7GB ? What OS are you running? have you tried fdisking the drive?

Are you trying to wipe the data from this hard disk by writing ones and zeros on the hard disk?
There are programs such as Wipedisk available on the Internet, do a Google search for such programs.

Check the power cable of harddisk if found it is ok then go to bios and detect the harddisk by pressing enter on primary boot device

Hi,

To my knowledge, NDD stands for Norton Disk Doctor and is part of the Norton System Utilities marketed by Symantec. This, I believe, is an old product and has been replaced by Norton System Works.

In effect the function of the NDD is similar to Scandisk of Windows.

Alternately, Samsung/TriGem has their own set of Utilities, one of which is Disk Manager.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

try go to hardware management. there you check if your harddisk is deactivated or if there is a problem.

SAMSUNG IDE HDD SP0411N (40GB)

Hi,

Three possible reasons:
1. Your IDE cable is defective or is not seated/plug in correctly. Try to replace or re-seat/re-insert;
2. The on-board disk management of the hard disk is corrupted/defective. There is no remedy except to replace the PCboard or the entire hard disk;
3. Your motherboard BIOS/CMOS needs to be flashed and/or something is wrong with the IDE interface.

Of the 3, # 1 is the most common.

Dxlb-19 screen adjustment My monitor has worked perfectly for years but has now started flashing up the on screen adjustment main menu panel. But I can't do anything with it as it disappears again just as quickly and I can't remember what the four silver buttons to the left of the identical power on/off button do.
