2 options:

option 1: Do a factory reset on the entire unit (back up any personal data first as this will erase everything and restore device to out-of-the-box condition)

Shut down computer. Plug into charging adapter if not already. Power on again and immediately hold down F4 (after powering on) while the computer is booting up. this will boot you into the Samsung Recovery Solution application.
Select Restore>Complete Restore and let the process run its course. If you boot into windows normally by mistake, shut down and repeat these steps again.

option 2: open start menu and type in search box "slui.exe 4" without the quotes (you can run this from the command line too). If prompted by UAC, click Yes to continue.

Click on the drop down menu and select the nearest location to you for a toll free number to call, then click on the Next button. Follow the rest of the onscreen instructions to re-activate windows.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: i have windows seven installed on a samsung

That was because Failsafe thinks you are trying to modify the computer for illegal reasons...
Usually, FailSafe automatically uninstalls itself at the end of the 30 day trial. Unfortunately, IF you make adjustments to your computer before it is uninstalled, or if it didn't automaticall uninstall itself -
You will have to Register with Phoenix Failsafe, in order to get them to give you an Unlock Code. Hoping you are in the U.K. here is the Phone No. of Phoenix

I uninstalled windows 7 ultimate from my hp laptop probook 6470 and installed windows 7 pro.On start up i have to choose which windows to boot. How can i remove the old window permanently?

ok probook
so the F11 key recovery is not wanted again, got you.( delete it)
so you use w7
boot the media. (DVD or usb stick)
and do afresh load of W7 , booted from install media.
you do that and it lands here.
a setup.exe, crude explorer it is.

http://pcdied.com/partition-kill2.JPG

see that?
now delete all you see there, and install w7 next.
make sure in bios
safe boot is off, or you can not boot to DVD nor your new w7, usb thumb drive.

My Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 will not boot past the starting windows screen an freezes in safe mode i have a windows 7 disc but it dont read it when i put it in what do i do?

please tell me what you want to do, you want to install the windows 7 again or want to repair the start up issue? if you want to install again, insert your W7 disc to CDROM and boot up. on restart together with the brand logo at the bottom of the screen you will see function keys. try to look for boot option. then press that key. it will then give you the option where you want to boot your computer. choose your CDROM drive and save settings. let it restart and load to your W7 disc.

thanks

I have the 1545 am in command prompt looking for the boot directory found out disk number 0 and letter e for CD ROM drive...now says to enter exit and need the bootsect files and to enter the boot...

what are you doing, attempting, you never said that.
my guess this 10 year old PC has VISTA,
and you have the vista DELL disks still after all thoughts years>?
if you do page 42 covers ever step in that process.

http://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/600855/dell-inspiron-1545.html?download

lets say you said, I have W7 install media,
on DVD or USB stick
w7 does not fit on any CD ever.
so if you dont have the optional DVD drive there,
then its hopeless there, and then the stick USB works.
what you do is boot to the windows 7/10, usb stick you must make on a working PC, the ISO file is free at microsoft.
but you must buy a COA key later (30 day time)
w7 must be bought up front, no free loads at MS for W7.

the first PC sold this model can not boot to USB
so you must update bios to version A14
per
as DELL tells you here

https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General/Unable-to-boot-from-USB-in-Inspiron-1545/td-p/4219287

next time tell the helper what you are doing or attempting
we cant guess the 1million things folks do to any computer made.

I see the BIOS updates are now long gone too. on this old PC.
just so you know, that.

I have installed the windows 7 on my HP pavilion notebook successfully. But every time I open the hp notebook it can't directly load the windows Logo. The screen is black and there are choices whi

what PC, the pc has service tag and a model number there.
like DV5-1234us, (crude example)
what did it come with what OS?, some HP PCs had 3 choices .
from w2000 to VISTA. (OS=op sys)
is this a new to you,old PC to you found dead, or you had it running say
for years now dead from XP virus and then decide to do the right thing and upgrade it.???? history MATTERS.

w7 successful you said why does your post contradict that.
?
id say id did not,

Installed how, ? (the only 3ways)
1: using the F11 key< HP restore. magic hot key reload?
2: using the correct install disk from HP? media kit. (if above fails)
3: using Microsoft disk? (it will fail, ask why) do not do this.

if you use MS disks
many HP drivers will be missing
and all HP apps and other important features will be missing.
the top fail here is the HP laptop key board top panel is dead.
the one with volumn up and wifi on/off, will be dead.

W7 fails to load.
1: the HDD is bad.... if bad the F11 key restore is dead too.
2: you failed to boot it 3 times after, it loads.
FYI if you install w7 there are over 350 updates, that can take days to load, after, do not say yes, to updates as you install or it will fail.
W7 is a pain to load, I have home made disks that slip stream the 350 updates, so its vastly more easy,
love to know who's, w7 install disc's you have.
to test an old dead dog pc, found on the road dead.
try running a LIVE LINUX or WINDOWS PE disk CD.first
see if the puter even runs ok, before investing in say a new HDD
or new OS, for $225 (hdd 100, os 125?) but no PC stated so...????

there are 1000s of HP puters made from 1984 to now.
we cant yet, guess what you have,
post the service tag,

this is a service tag , if you and gone to real HP site.
this is there 1st question, for the same reasons.
tag1-vbixhpxyxlue1rzej45vambs-1-0.jpg here is the REAL HP , help,
the REAL DEAL that. no spam, or other bs.

HP 530 wont boot Windows 7 DVD

the 530 came with XP or vista,. never W7,
the HP support only supports those 2 OS, period.

F9 key boots to anything and DVD , the DVD-r is bad or the DVD drive is bad, why not boot to USB stick? if that works then the DVD is bad. (burned wrong or drive itself bad.see?

Tell us what media you are using? (WHO's from Where?)

tell us what you want to do:
1: run XP,Vista or W7, what?
if running XP or VISTA before, the F10 ( changed to F11 later)
F10 loads the OS fresh, off the working HDD, partition called the
HP recovery partition, this is how to get the 530 back as day one.

if you use a Microsoft media, it will be missing key HP drivers and will be missing all HP software. a fact.

again, where did you get your media.?
my guess, is you MADE it from DVD-R , right.?
using what ISO, from Microsoft or from HP?

using what method (I use Imgburn? free, and is best) ask how.

this PC is carbon dated at 2008, (1 more year of support left, hint)
be wise to download all the below so when HP deletes all this soon.
you have it.
or buy the HP media kit. and never need to ask for it again.
hp sells it. buy it. now. while still sold.

btw2, many DVD drives are bad, or need service or cleaning
and fail to read disks properly, for sure huge OS loads !

and when DVD does work , it takes 1/2 day to load windows
we use USB sticks today, that work all the time and run fast.
burn stick instead of the disk. and win.

we use RUFUS to burn the ISO to STICK. (ask, millions do)
then, F9 boot to the USB stuck called Udisk.
it boots fast and works. (at least installs fully)

if using MS, w7.iso, there is no guarantee it will work with all
drivers working on a 530.
you tell us...
the Microsoft w7 load will takes a license key ,
the bottom sticker on the 530 has COA sticker , for OEM XP or VISTA, (unstated by you)
only OEM Disks installs work with that sticker,
if you buy W7 , its called retail and can work if luckly , sans all HP software with it.

here is the official page. this works, every time.
but MS does not support it now, updates are dead. and more. at MS now. they ended it 3 years ago.. and Vista last month.
(yes, 1 patch was released for the In the news ciberattack)

My samsung n145 plus netbook was shut down during windows updates. Now when it's powered up all I get is the blue light to indicate this and nothing on the screen. It just stays black.

If it was shut down whilst in the middle of installing updates then you might have a corrupt start up file . Try to boot into safe mode --tap the f8 key while your computer is booting then on the menu select safe mode or safe mode with networking . If you can boot here go into administrator account and try to to do a windows restore .if successful you can then re-download the windows up-date and install it properly.. If you cant access safe mode then you might have to repair the boot records which is too technical to explain in detail here .

I hope this helps
