I-mate jasjam frozen

When i turn on the jasjam i can only get to the blue windows mobile screen sometimes the align screen comes up but it won't let me calibrate it i have tried a soft and hard reset but it doesn't help.

    Jas Jam. I have had numerous problems, the latest being the frozen screen, you described it to a Tee, dealer tried soft and hard reset, no go, have had the phone over the 30 days, dealer made excuses blamed sim card for phone problems, replaced 2 in first week, dealer tried 4 times to work out problems, phone a dismal failure, am told if sent away for repairs, can take 6 weeks or more for return. My business is suffering because of this. Went to Singapore, Singtel worked on the phone for almost an hour to get pre-paid to work, said software problems, whatr great service, not here with Telstra.

    Anyone has an idea how to fix this issue,my JasJam hungs up on the i-mate screen while booting. This has happend after the windows hungs up which leaft to me only one choice!!! removing the battery and put it back again. now it always hungs on the i-mate screen although I've removed the SIM Card and the Micro SD memory Card, my JasJam has windows Mobile 5. Thanks.

Hi rossei. this is jamie. I have had this problem for long time but now I tried some else which really worked for me, I hope this works for you too. Well to make it short, disconnect your i-mate jasjam's battry and take your sim card out from your i-mate jasjam and leave it for about 10 to 20 minutes then reconnect every thing back together. There you are, thats fixed now. Its not really 100% solution for this however it works on mine but I do this procedure all the time to get it working, Good luck

Dear all
when your i-mate JasJam not booting r give you blue screen then try this hope its work. INSHA.ALAH.
Please note that a hard reset will clear all your data and contacts (including programs you have installed yourself), A soft reset should be sufficient to solve any problems you experience so try this first before attempting a hard Reset.
Press and hold the Left and Right Soft Keys, (up on start key and ok key) and press bye thing restart key it down side of device inside a hole. when device restart its give u opitions slect any one.
NOTE: any help about imate,s and computers plz email me i m expert and i solve ur problem with out any charges.

Hi Rossie I think that you jasjam dropped in a way or another (Maybe a slam on the table), and the cable connecting the screen with the jasjam moved a little, you should send your P.pc to maintenance for sure, don't bother trying anything else.

Try this, worked for me, not sure on the screen alignment though im still working that one out.

Doing a hard reset
Hard/Master Reset for a HTC/JASJAM Pocket PC: Warning: Performing a Hard/Master Reset will remove all of your data (settings, files, 3rd party applciations, etc.) from your device and will only reload the Windows Mobile Software and components. The method for Hard Resetting/performing a Master Reset on HTC devices can vary by model. Below are the instructions for the most common method. If these steps do not work for you, consult your user manual or contact your wireless carrier for additional assistance.

  • With the device powered on, press and hold the Left and Right Soft Keys.
  • Whilst holding the Left and Right Soft Keys, perfrom a Soft Reset on the device by inserting the stylus into the reset hole.

  • If successful, you will get a message on the display of your device asking you to confrim the Hard Reset. Note: the below image is just an example and the confirmation screen on your unit may differ.

How to format imate jasjam memory

Hi. You can hard reset your device by pressing the left and right upper softkeys at the same time, and while pressing them press the reset hole with the stylus. Don't forget to get a backup of all your data since a hard reset will erase your data. Hope this helps.

yes it works it takes a lot of memory of the mobile but still it works ok.

ok first try this if it works ok if not then inform me.

press the 2 softkeys togather ( softkeys is up on OK right side + and up on windows key left side ) then thread something into down side u can find a hole. the device will restart and give you options for reset the hard.
