I have a Sony Trinitron TV which is hooked up to the cable outlet in the wall. Almost daily, the TV sputters and then goes completely to snow. The only thing that will correct the problem, I found out accidentally, is when I push the "demo" button, which shows many of the features on the TV. It'll run through the demo a few times, for as much as 10 minutes, then the TV will be fine. Sometimes it will go out again, but usually not until I've turned it off for a few hours (like overnight). Lately, it's taking longer and longer for this recovery process and it is a 37 inch TV and unbelieveably heavy, which is why I haven't taken it in to be repaired yet. Anyone have any experience with this or have any advice?
