Iwas embroidering and it would stop without nothing apparently wrong I would wait for the green button and then push start again and it would start back up. the buttons ontop are stuck none of them work. I would trun the machine on and off to get it to work. but now the pressure is foot is stuck down and wont work at all. I removed the embroidery system and went just sewing mode and the it still says the pressure is foot is stuck down and I cant get it to do anything even when I replaced the embroidery unit back on and it wont recognize the embroidery unit.

You have to unplug the power cord to the the foot pedal. The manual doesn't include this. And good stinkin luck with Sears or Kenmore customer service! Just pull the cord out of the machine and the start/stop button will work. Try it on a slower setting at first though. Also, if you need additional presser feet, Singer, Brother, Janome, and possibly other brands will usually work as long as they are the snap on type. I really do like my machine, good luck with yours!

Stop and start button and the needle up and down button

have you tried turning it off & then back on again.see if it resets itself.
if that doesn't work see if one of the buttons are hung, if so push on it dislodges. if it's new & none of these things work then I suggest you take it back because the circuit board is mal-functioning.

Hi,

Not sure which machine you are referencing but if is the 16231...it is highly recommended. There is literally no issues with this machine reported in the past 2 years it has been out.
CAN NOT GO WRONG! More than worth the $$ You will be please with the reliability of a mechanical machine with the benefit of a few "can't live with out" electronic features, up/down needle button. start/stop button, speed control lever! It pretty great. You can also go to sear.com and read soem other reviews form customers. It comes pretty highly rated.

Getting the Bobbin threaded in the Machine

when this has happened to me, the upper thread has somehow run amuck. check to make sure the top thread is STILL routed properly. It might have nothing to do with the bobbin.
