The system plays perfect for three minutes and then switches itself off. Tried cleaning the carbon at contact points. It played for five minutes and switched itself off.

SOURCE: cds won't play. have tried cleaning it with a cd

Your problem is not very uncommon in CD players.Your player is not dead, just the lens mechanism. It may be a simple error such as "out of alignment" or it may need replacement. Please be aware that the lens mechanism is the most expensive part in a CD/DVD player+ Service you can get a new player for that price. You may want to get a quote so that you can decide whether you want to get it fixed or buy another.

SOURCE: DVD drawer will not open - stuck dvd inside

My only suggestion is to press and hold the eject button for a period of time (15 - 30 seconds). This might unlock the drawer. If not, I would contact Bose Customer Service directly.

A possible problem MIGHT be marginal switch contacts on the external foot controller cable. If you are not using the foot pedal, these contacts must maintain contact to keep the same channel selected.

System shuts off after approximately five minutes of game play

Make sure your system is well ventilated and you keep the vents clean with compressed air and vacuum the vents out also, it may be overheating which means your system will shut down itself.

Freezes in the middle of playing a dvd

1. You say in the (middle?) That in itself is subjective, Does it stop at an 'exact' specific point after playing for x number of minutes? Is it the same point for any DVD being played, or does it stop at a random point? - Does it stop when playing DVD--R or +R or what type of Disc? - more details helps to find a solution.
Also it is never necessary to use cleaning discs - Do that and it will wreck your player - and may never read a disc again. Using cleaning discs could have caused your problem. Use cleaning discs only for practicing how far you can throw them.

N64 Blinking on and off

It seems like an issue with the cartridge slot (as in there's a bad connection somewhere, causing the connection with the cart to be lost, then restored, then lost... etc). Try giving it a good blast with a can of compressed air or possibly go over it with a Q-tip soaked in glass cleaner or 50% isopropyl alcohol.

It may also be an issue with the power cable. I have a similar problem with my Genesis resetting and turning off. It turned out to be caused by a faulty, loose, power cable. Try finding another power cable for your N64 and see if it makes adifference.

PS2

I believe there might be a problem with the power connector where you first turn on your system in the back. There is either a shortage or something inside has fried. Best thing to do is to have a gaming tech take a look at your system.

Movies on my recorded discs freeze after a few minutes of play

Sometimes this unit gets "confused" - not sure why -- but try first using a CD cleaning disk and let it start and stop a couple times (sometimes lens gets dirty and does this) - if that doesn't help then try unplugging unit and leave unplugged (from wall socket) for about 30min then plug in, set local time and then see if the disks play okay - sometimes this "resets system"
