YES, UNPLUG, REMOVE SCREWS @ BACK & SIDES, CHANGE FUSE ON POWER BOARD,OR YOU CAN TRY & RELEASE THE TRAY BY WINDING THE COGS BACKWARDS. CHECK YOUR PLUG FUSE FIRST.

Disc have something sticky attached on top (label ,specially rental discs') so when you try to eject disc get stuck on tray of spindle motor.Top cover need to be opened in that case in order to remove disc

Remove the top case
See if there's enough access to grab the DVD . There maybe a couple of screws holding the top spinner section over the DVD . If so take those out and the DVD will be waiting to leave
if your not a technician dont try to open your player, most of fuse now is the holder near where the ac cord is soldered, if the fuse is busted most of the problem is the power regulator.
It sounds like the HDMI port on the back of your Marantz is damaged. if
you know for sure that the HDMI port works on another tv still you
might just use component connection because the visible difference
between component and HDMI is not very recognizable.
Well if you want to DIY you should open the coves, spay some oil on the mechanics and ensure they are running smoothly, if you spray grease on lens you will damage it, be careful.
