It does not have a drain plug. You can remove the dip stick and tilt the mower to pour out the oil, or you can use one of those hand pump syphon units to pump it out.
could be the priming bulb gasket between the air-filter assy. and the carb.
I have the same lawnmower and if I prime with gas from a can it will start but stop after a few seconds. When I push the bulb I can hear air leaking in this area. You can replace the gasket by removing the back half of the air-filter assembly. I am looking to buy a gasket today I let you know how it works out! Thanks Ron
I think that this is a 4stroke engine and runs on neat petrol.Have you been putting oil in with the petrol like a 2 stroke engine needs because this would account for the smoking.If not the check that you havn't overfilled the gearbox oil.
