Sounds like you burned out the sub channel usually due to having a sub the draws more watts than the system can push, effectively blowing a capacitor or node within the internal motherboard of the AMP.

Removing/replacing right rear molding on 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

  1. The molding on the right rear of a 1999 grand marqui is simple to remove & does not take any special tools.
  2. The molding has a sticky back on it but can be pulled off by hand.
  3. The ends that stick through the holes in the finder are held in place by a soft epoxy & have to be cut with a knife or razor.
  4. After you cut it, pull it out of the hole & pull the molding out of the grove.
  5. After market molding can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
  6. Make sure to clean all epoxy from the ends & the glue that was on the back of the molding.
  7. Save the old molding so you can cut the new molding in the same way. It comes in a role & not cut individually for you.
  8. hope this helps.

The connections you are speaking of are not for a different amp but to provide enough amperage to and from to amp. Your amp is running to hot because the impedance on your subwoffer is to low
Impedance= ohm rating of your speaker

My jl 500.1 amp dosent play anything.

you have your sub wired incorrectly. your amp shouldn't get hot unless you're settings are too high or your'e sending too small of an ohm load to the amp. this would cause it to heat up and will fry your amp.

My amp is working but everytime it cuts off and i got to cut off my car and cut it back on. Also when i have the car off and i have my radio on it stays on. But when i am driving like 1 or 2 mins it cuts...

Check your ground wire and make sure it is bolted down into a solid ground. Do not use a factory ground make your own. Every system that has subwoofers has a little blue wire called a remote wire. The deck sends a signal to the amp thru this wire letting it know it has been powered on. It could be that there is a short in this wire, either from the deck side (where the wires are connected) or it could be also be detiorated insulation on the wire. pretty inexpensive to replace. In my opinion it sounds like you have a shotty ground wire. If you don't have this grab yourself a nice foot of 4 guage wire at your local HI-Fi shop. This should fix your issue if not let me know and we will keep troubleshooting

Amp keeps cutting off

Do you have heavy enough gauge wire supplying B+ to amp.Big amps draw a lot of current and require very heavy gauge wire. The longer the run the heavier the gauge needed.

My subwoofer doesnt work

you mean that the SUBWOOFERS connected to the amp cuts off and come back on randomly?? did you bring the SUBS level to a high volume ? i suggest to check first the value of the speaker (ex. 4 , 8 , 16 ohms ) matches the same value with the amp . second , hows the subs connected , in series ? or parallel . you will need a multimeter for this task .
