I have 7 incoming lines, I can receive calls on all seven, but I am not able to make outbound calls from any of those lines. I have 6 extensions, out of those six extensions only one is able to make and receive calls. My system is an NEC Electra Elite 192 phone system. If you can help please let me know.

Do you have actual appearance of each line, or just a placement button for calls received, a Call Arrival key, or car key. You can't grab a car key to make a call, the outgoing calls just land on them after you dial 9 or whatever the code is. Anyway, that would have to be changed in system programming, an actual tech would have to look at that. Or the phones are restricted and need a code entered to bypass the restriction. I have no idea how those codes might be set up.

When a call comes in and I transfer to my boss' extension, incoming calls do not come through, caller states phone keeps on ringing. Also on that same extension calls do not transfer to voice mail.

  • Begin the transfer. With the caller on the line, press the "Transfer" key. The caller will automatically be placed on hold and you will hear a dial tone.
  • Connect the caller to the other party. Dial the extension of the party you wish to reach. When you hear the extension ring or after you've announced the caller, complete the transfer by pressing "Transfer" a second time. If the person does not wish to receive the call, press "Release" to disconnect from the dialed extension. Press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator where the various lines are displayed to return to the caller.
  • Cancel an incomplete transfer. If you make an error when dialing and need to retrieve the caller, simply press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator.

  • Park an incoming call. Parking a call at a designated extension allows the recipient to answer the call from any phone in the facility. With the caller on the line, press the "Park" key twice. If your system designates a particular extension for parked calls, the caller will be held at that extension. Otherwise, the caller is held at your extension. To specify an extension for a parked call, press "Park," dial the desired extension and press "Park" a second time. Replace the handset.
  • Retrieve a parked call. On any system phone, press "Park" and dial the extension on which the call is parked. You will be connected to the caller.

How can I change the direction of incoming calls to various extensions?

Just a guess but maybe changing the connections for the lines on the switchboard. This may also change their numbers though.

I am configuring a pri ckt in mitel sx200icp i cannot make outbound calls i have programmed pri card as per carrier in form 42 with NI2 - NI2bell have tried all procol variant incoming is fine

It sounds like the outbound Caller ID is not set up properly in form 22. You will need to insert *6 into the dial string. If this isn't set up, many carriers will reject the call as it doesn't see the correct outbound caller ID.

Sincerely,
Mark

Does this system have ability to block phone numbers?

Outbound yes, incoming no. In program 404, there are 8 lists of 10 numbers that let you set up restrictions and assign them to extensions.

I block my incoming calls by using my VoIP provider's call block feature.

Lucent Partner 34D phone system with 18D extensions

That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

Group forwarding after a delay

In memory block 4-1 for the extension's port, The Lkey for the CO line is lit green for immediate ringing, red for delayed ringing, and off for no ringing.

In memory block 1-1-77 you enter the CO's delayed ringing timer in seconds.

I wouldn't try and deal with seperating into tenants.

What I would suggest is in 4-19 restrict outbound trunk access (corresponding Lkey for CO line is lit to restrict)
For example:
Stations 1-4 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 5-6
Stations 5-6 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 1-4

This way Company A is not tying up Company B's CO lines for outbound calls and vice-versa.
