this might sound really silly but some laptops after a while get a glitch where they cant power down fully and go into sleep or hibernate adn i have seen it happen to people who do not allow the battery to completely drain occasionally, had a family members did this recently. Just to rule it out turn it on and shen you hear fans and see lights even with no desktop, press and hold on the power button 3-5 sec until it shuts itself down, then do a normal start when you can see no lights or hear any sounds. Good luck.
when you say some times it keeps going does this mean the unit turns off ??,,,,this model has the gpu problem,,,dry solder joint of the graphics card, of which you can have the board repaired or replace the board
if you hear the windows log in sound it means the display is t blame and most likely the back-light inverter is out and need to be changed or some contact wire.. In this case you need to open it and change the inverter or change the display . If it does show a few devices and the logo screen when you open it ..and after that when it boots up in windows it shows the black screen ..it is a video card settings error and you need to either reinstall windows or try to boot in safe mode and reinstall the graphic card .. In this case it is nothing wrong physically .. but just a setting made is unsupported and this causes the lack of image .. Also if it is just the back light inverter you should have an idea of image if you look real carefully .. its kinda like a shadow .. and if this scenario is happens and you have a shadow image it means there is nothing wrong with the display itself but just the back light inverter is dead.. and will be cheaper to replace .. let me know what you've managed to do ..
I have the same problem, the CPU fan spins, keyboard lights blink, no start up screen, or bios. But, when I push a few times on the pc reset button, then the CPU fan is becoming still, the keyboard light are out and I can start the computer again in a normal way. Can this one be a temporally solution for you too? Do you have any suggestion about? I guess it can be an electricity dysfunction of a wrong fixed cable.
