Canon s520 printing is skipping

I just replaced my black cartridge and when I go to print, the text comes out "doubled vision". Somes lines are ok and then others only print out the top of the character or the bottom, making it appear like double vision.

I have a Canon pixma mp990 Recently it has stopped printing with the larger black ink cartridge that is meant for printing text (PGI-220BK) All the other cartridges print fine I was using a non-canon...

It looks to me that your non Canon cartridge has blocked the print head. I see this all the time. Remember the compatables are not pigment based but just watered down ink so you can get it to flow through a syringe into the cartridge. This however is the classic outcome of trying to save a few pennies on an expensive bit of kit!

Is there away to fix my printer? It skips every third line of print.

I would first try deep cleaning the nozzles throught the printer maintenance software. If this doesn't work, remove the cartridges from the printhead, remove the printhead and carefully soak it in warm distilled water. you may have to soak the printhead a number of times until the water is clear. Dry the printead carefully. Let the printhead dry overnight. Reinsert the printhead, cartridge and try printing. If it was a clogged head, printing should be normal. If you still have the problem, you will have to replace the printhead. Check with Canon support or try dBay for a new printhead.

Please check the seating of black ink cartridge. It may not have been placed correctly. Please replace it and then carry out the print head alignment.

Canon S520 won't print in black

This is an important fact: Canon is a remarkable brand that provides a person with a wide range of electronic items. When you need to screen out some picture on a derivate computer, almost all printing assets have high resolution. It doesn't matter whether it's a machine, a camera, or a printer. It should be remembered that in order to enjoy these activities, genuine tricks and methods for using all computer peripherals on a standard platform should be used. When it comes to using the Canon Pixma mg2900, a detailed Guide to Canon Pixma mg2900 Wireless Printer Setup is recommended. Otherwise, you would be perplexed as to why you should use this brand.

While printing photos my printer has white vertical lines

Sounds like you need to re-align the print cartridge . The reason the text comes out ok is probably because it is only using the black cartridge for text. The color cartridge is the one that's out of alignment. You may have some sort of Cannon utility running in the task bar that will allow you to easily allign the print cartridges. If not, go to the main "Printers and Faxes" window, RIGHT-click on the printer and select "Properties". You should be able to find a button in the properties that's labeled something like re-align print cartridges. It will print out a series of test pages and ask you to select the set of lines that looks the straightest and type it in. It's a good idea to do this every time you replace a cartrige. Hope this helps, If I was able to FixYa, please remember to rate me. Thanks.
