Just updated TomTom home to 2.6. Cannot now download user manual. Gets as far as aking which language but will not open in Adobe reader. TomTom is Go720

Apparently you do not have the user manual for your Tom Tom.

You have not stated the model name of your Tom Tom.

Therefore, all I can do is direct you to the Tom Tom home page:

On the home page, you should see the link to Support, located near the top of the page.

Click or tap on Support. You then should see the link to User Manuals. Click or tap on that link.

Then you will land on the User Manuals pages (more than one.) You will need to find the link for your model Tom Tom (look through the User Manuals pages), choose it, and follow the on-screen information to download the correct manual (probably a PDF document - Adobe Acrobat Reader software needed - free) and save it to your computer. Note: If you do not own a computer, ask a relative or friend if you can use their computer to download and print the manual. If you need to do that, I recommend you give the relative or friend a ream of printer paper as a "thank you." You may also wish to purchase a black printer ink cartridge (make sure you know the manufacturer and ink number used) as a "thank you" gift, as well.

Follow these steps to download updated adobe reader 1. Open your browser.
2. Go to the Adobe Reader Web page (http://get.adobe.com/reader/).
3. Click on the "Get Adobe Reader" button.
4. Indicate your language, operating system and connection speed on the next pages.
5. Follow the prompts as the software is downloaded and installed on your computer.

Tap changes preferences on the main menu
then you can do set time or set units depending which model you have. You then set the time zone and the unit gets the time from the gps satellites and display it with your local time zone changes.
You may just have to set or enable DST (daylight savings time ) if after setting the zone/time it is still out.

If you don;t have can;t find your manual you can get a pdf version free from tomtom. Just go to www.tomtom.com and click on support and then look for user guides. You may have to set your location/country-language before you can get to support. Then just download the manual which you can read or print using a pdf reader ie a free one such as adobe reader. The time stuff is covered under the preferences area on the manual.

you're either going to have to call the manufacturer and request another one, or google it with your exact model and download the PDF form of the manual, to be opened with adobe reader, which can be acquired at http://www.adobe.com

you may need to install adobe reader, this is free and will read all PDF files, just go to www.adobe.com and download adobe reader good luck
