XBOX 360 Inbeds grooves into all my game discs

Game Discs will not start automatically. You must start disc games from the Disc
Channel on the Wii Menu screen.
Eject the Game Disc, and turn the power OFF and then ON. Reinsert the disc and try
playing the game again.Check to be sure that the Game Disc is clean and in good condition. If dirty, wipe with a soft cloth, from the center to the outside. Do not wipe with a circular motion.
You can also try using the Wii Lens Cleaning Kit (sold separately) to clean the
internal lens.

I had this problem recently. What happened was you closed the game without logging out of Playonline. The long shut down I call it. This corrupts the FFXI data on your HDD. And since FFXI does not appear in the memory you have to format your HDD and redownload. I can guarantee if you put the disc in your xbox with no HDD that it will read or even place it in an xbox with a HDD that has never had FFXI.

If this is happening consistently without any knock or movement of the console, I would contact Microsoft for advice on your games console.

when you move your xbox with a disc in it it makes that circular scratch on your disc it happened to my GTA 4

Hello.

Xbox DVD-Drive's often scratch circles into your discs and some even got malfunctioning lasers that will burn rings into games.
To prevent the circular scratched from happening avoid moving your console at any time while it is running however it often also occurs just in regular use especially for older consoles with Hitachi or Samsung drives.
As far as I know Microsoft replaces discs that were clearly damaged by a console free of charge, at least here in Europe they do.
Try calling Xbox Customer Support and ask for a replacement it is worth a try for sure even if they shouldnt replace it they will at least give you a 1-month subscription for Xbox LIVE in exchange.

If you can get the console replaced as well depends on the support person you are talking to but usually they charge you for that if you want to fix the drive yourself, open up a PC drive and take the foam pads outs and install them in the 360 drive this will prevent the discs from getting scratched they just didnt use these pads in the Xbox for some reason which led to these problems...

unfortunatly this is a know issue with the 360, contact microsoft customer service support and they will replace it free, they know about the problem.
