This is for Windows XP
1. Click on Start then Control Panel.
2. If control panel is set at Classic View, then double-click on the Display icon which is shown below:
BIG ICONS - display_icon_xp.jpg
Then go to Step 3.
Click on Appearance and Themes and then click on Display.
3. A box will pop up. Click on the Settings tab.

4. Click on Advanced.

Change the DPI setting to Normal size (96 DPI). If you have the value set on anything else, text on the HUD-1 will look jumbled on the screen.
Click OK and your computer will ask you to reboot your computer. Click Yes.

How to reduce ddessktop icon size?

hey wassup

theres two ways you can go at this.

1. right click on an open area on ur desktop and just adjust the icons when u hover over the [view] option

2.make sure ur desktop is the only thing visible and give it one click on an open space just to make sure nothing is selected. then hit ctrl+&
at this point to test if it's working. hold ctrl then start to move your mousewheel on your mouse and the icons will start to all magically increase and decrease in size

now option #1 is a bit more easy and its static
while option#2 is a bit more dynamic and you can really make your icons really big or really small. it's up to you.

Some of my desktop icons have grown to be very big. I want small icons.

in windows 7 right click on the desktop and select Personalize. Then click display on the left. Choose small, medium or large.

Shrinking Icons in Windows XP
  • 1 Right-click on the desktopicon1.png. A drop-down menu will appear on which you will click on "Properties."
  • 2 In the "Display Properties" box, click on the "Settings" tab.
  • 3 Slide the scale in the "Screen Resolution" box to the right to shrink the icons (and everything else that appears on the screen).
  • 4 Click on "Apply" and then click on "OK."
  • 5 Click on "Start" and then right-click on an empty space until a box that says "Properties" appears. Click on "Properties."
  • 6 In the "Taskbar and Start Menuicon1.png Properties" menu, click on "Customize."
  • 7 In the box that says "Select an icon size for programs," click on "Small Icons."
  • 8 Click on "Apply" and then click on "OK" to adjust the size.
Shrinking Icons in Windows Vista
  • 9 Right-click on the desktop. When the drop-down menu appears, run the mouse-pointer over "View" and click on "Classic Icons." This will shrink the icons if they are set to either "Large Icons" or "Medium Icons."
  • 10 Right-click on the desktop again and click on "Personalize."
  • 11 On the "Personalize appearance and sounds" screen, click on "Taskbar and Start Menu" on the left side bar.
  • 12 In the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" menu, click on the "Start Menu" tab.
  • 13 Click on "Customize."
  • 14 Find the box that says "Use large icons." If it is checked, uncheck it and click on "OK." This will shrink the Start Menu and Taskbar icons.

My iphone icons are to big for the screen. How do

From the home screen, tap Settings (yeah, if you can find it — but at least they can’t delete that or any built-in application).
From Settings, hit General, then choose Reset.

d9ca2e1.jpg
From the Reset menu, choose Reset Home Screen Layout. When it asks you to confirm, tap the big red Reset Home Screen button.

And you’re done. Your iPhone’s icons will be back to the way Apple ships them

try to set the resolution, perhaps it's too big. click on the right click of mouse on the screen (anywhere) and go to properties, and then to screen settings. try to play with the screen resolution. I wouldn't recommend 600*800, it's not very good
