Outside temp I have a sprinfield precise temp base and single remote. The base registers both inside and outside temps. Both register as F, but the outdoor temp is about 50 degrees lower than it should be. outdoor display registers as F. What do I need to do to get outdoor temp to display as Fareheight?

SOURCE: outside temp not measuring correctly

I keep the outside unit of our in/out set under a coffee can shaded under a bench; one could argue the aesthetics but shielding it from wind and sun is mandatory otherwise one can get record temps pretty often.
The outside units generally transmit to the receivers only every few minutes to keep battery consumption down so moving them won't necessary gie you an immediate change.

Bought inside/outside wireless weather station. Inserted batteries as directed. Inside works, outside temps don't register at all.

Make sure that the channel (1,2,3) agrees between the sender and base. You might try a different channel due to interference. double check batteries. Then -- remove batteries from remote and base. Then put batteries in remote first (should be next to base) then insert batteries in the base. Be sure channel is in agreement between the units. Sync can take a minute or longer.

Why the outdoor does not work while the indoor is working?

likely off on a safety switch. You would need a meter to further assess. one check would be a breaker.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

According to instructions for similar systems, you have to replace batteries in the outdoor unit first, then the indoor unit and wait 10 minutes without pressing any buttons for the indoor unit to begin displaying the outdoor temperature.

Outdoor device won't register inside.

All these wireless weather station devices have to be paired to the base unit whenever the batteries are changed in any of the remotes. It's a poor design issue, but there is no way around it, due to the nature of wireless operation.

Place both units near each other and look on the back of your base and remote sensor units, you should find a reset button (or a small hole). Either press the button or use the end of a paper clip to depress and hold the reset on each unit; Base 1st, then the remote 2nd.

After a brief moment, the remote should register with the base and you'll be back getting wireless readings.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Outside unit not registering temp and humidity to base unit

To get the outside temperature working again, open the outdoor sensor box carefully loosening the one screw with a screwdriver, insert 3 brand new AA batteries, check phone for outside temperature. If not showing on the phone display, try changing the 'channel' setting, just above the batteries. Be careful not to break the tiny switch. Gently use a smaller flathead screwdriver, if needed. There are 3 settings. Mine worked fine on the first setting. If it is showing on the phone set screens, then, carefully screw the lid back on to the sensor box, and re-insert into the sensor wall holder. I keep mine in a plastic bag on a shelf outside, away from sun, so I can get a true reading day or night. It is always a bit warmer in the sunlight than the true outdoor air temperature. Enjoy
