Hi.. I am able to get my PC/Laptop display on my TV, but it appears in black and white. I have used Notepad + Monitor display setting and it works fine. Also, I am using 1024x768 resolution as instructed in one of the solution. I am unable to get colour display in my TV monitor alone. Pls advice me with a solution to fix this issue. Appreciate your quick response.
I had the same problem. I was going from PC -> Dvd recorder -> TV.
I had the S-Video output from the averkey going via an adaptor into the DVD scart input. I discovered a setting within the DVD menu which could select between 's-video' and 'composite video' on the scart socket. (it appears that scart can carry either/or, I guess).
I changed from composite to s-video, and I got colour.
I think seeing a greyscale image indicates that the signal being sent is S-Video, but the equipment that is recieving it is expecting composite video.
"Guests" solution worked exactly in the same way for me. Thanks very much.
Hi, sorry to tell you this, but static electricity has killed every conceivevable type of electronic device ever built by man or woman. The insides of your TV has very high voltage and the only safe solution is to take it to a repair man. Ask for a qoute before any work is done, try to get at least 2 quotes.
It may be cheaper to replace than repair the unit and with 2 quotes you will know that you are not being conned.
