SOURCE: scope elevation adjusted allthe way up & still shoots low

Bushnell sells nylon inserts for scope rings that fit inside of the scope rings and will affect the height of the ring to correct the problem. If you install them on the front scope ring, it will correct it and realign the rings correctly. It appears that the front ring towards the muzzle is not as high as the rear ring near the breach. This is why that even though the scope's adjustment is elevated as high as it will go, it is still hitting low because it is actually pointing down because apparently the rear ring is higher off the barrel than the front ring. The Bushnell inserts can correct this.

SOURCE: I need covers for the adjustment turrets on a 6x24

most likely you will have to send the scope in to have this taken care of to contact bushnells customer service at 800-423-3537. press option 1.the age of the scope necessitates having the scope to match parts.

SOURCE: My Bushnell Banner rifle scope

you might be able to buy a weaver rail adapter that can change your elevation aswell as lift up your scope a bit just to make it a bit easier to see out of. try something like this maybe http://ant-supplies.co.uk/DovetailtoWeaverAdapters.aspx

What size rings do I need to mount a weaver 6x38 rifle scope

Measure the diameter of the scope just in front of or behind the windage/elevation turrets. If it's 1 in. in diameter, you need 1 inch rings. The size of your scope tube determines the size of the rings you need.

Put "Weaver scope caps" in the search box at eBay. You should find some listed. Also, Iron Sight Inc. repairs Weaver scopes, you might try them.

I can get the elevation adjustment cap off. Is there some secret to elevation adjustment?

if the scope is out the best way to set it up is to clamp the rifle in a jig or hold it hard done on a sand bag,,,firs off the first shot at the bull and see were the shot hit the card,,,now without moving the rifle turn the scope turrets till the cross is over the bullet hole from the last shot,,,now again aim at the bull and shoot again,,,the shot should hit the bull,,if not reajust the scope as before,,,

Is there a way to lower my turret after i've found my zero? my zero is at the 4th vertical tic mark on the 0.

No. The turret is what it is. If you want to re-set the turret to zero so that it is easy to return to for a specific distance, there should be a setscrew you can loosen, adjust the turret to zero, then re-tighten to lock it in place. If you are simply trying to lower the turret, you need to purchase a scope without target turrets.
