I have an issue with my Samsung VP-D305i mini-DV camcorder. When in record mode, the image on the LCD screen is very blurred, but you can still make out what is being recorded. When switching to 0 lux (nightshot) mode, the image is completely sharp like it should be. Previously good recordings play back fine.
I would love some advice as to the problem and a possible solution.

make sure your camera is set to an advanced mode, not an easy mode, and open up the menu. Search the wrench or settings options, or memory card if it has that, and look for the word format. It'll be in there somewhere.
If recordings are only blurry and snowy on playback on camcorder, but are OK on a different camcorder or on computer, then the problem is a dirty magnetic head.
Use a mini-dv head cleaner tape.
If recordings are blurred even on pc or on a different camera, then there is a fault.
Faulty CCD sensor, faulty digital board, problem with internal ribbon connector, and dirty or defective lens assembly can cause this kind of problem.
I have a brand new VP-D31. It still has the protector on the screen. I acquired this (legally!) but it has no charger, cables, battery or any etcs. I got it from the Police Auctions and was too ignorant to understand what I was getting. The item was obviously stolen from a store shelf - hence no bits. How about you buy it from me?
I have a Sam sung digital camcorder vp - d305i.
I have used the cam 3 times and decided to use it for once and now have found no image on the Lcd and view finder but it seems to record the sound only.
What could it be???
Samsung has been having very serious problems with the CCD imagers in their camcorders for some time now. I would give them a call and let them know how disappointed you are in the camera. Almost all manufacturers having this problem are repairing the cameras at no charge to the customer.
Good luck to you!
