My Washer will not always spin at end of cycle, what happened?

Hello. You've got an intermittent problem. In order to troubleshoot this, you will have to read the last stored error code--there are very many codes. In order to read the code, with the washer off, push the start/pause and cancel buttons simultaneously. As long as you hold the buttons, the last stored code will be displayed. The door lock, wash ,rinse, and final spin lights will flash. You will have to either give the error code on this site or look it up--use the model number and error code on a search engine. This problem is hard to diagnose when not onsite--yes, I'm a tech. My gut is telling me the problem is with the motor control board located inside the unit at the bottom on the left side if you face the unit from the rear. But it could also be with the main board--the error code(s) will tell the tale. Things to initially check: (1) drain pump--it won't spin if it can't drain properly. (2) door switch, if it's loose or worn, it might be breaking contact and causing cycle stoppage. (3) does the basket spin very freely with nothing in it?(If a small article of clothing has gotten in-between the basket and tub it can cause a bind). Also, if there is a roaring sound like a train or a jet aircraft taking off during the spin cycle, that is indicative of a bearing failure--a VERY major, costly repair. If you are unsure or hesitant about troubleshooting, definitely call for service--I have worked on a lot of these washers--not that they're bad at all, just complex. I hope I helped you!

What is18h code on gltf2940es0?

Thank you for your post, Jeff Duvall!

I see that your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of "18h". However, it appears "18h" is an invalid error code. In order to clear any false error codes, let's attempt resetting your range. You can do this by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position for approximately ten minutes.

If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please inform me of the new error code or if your washer continues to display "18h". I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

What does error code 18h mean

Hey friend, thank you for the post!

I see you are getting an 18h code on your front load washer. Normally any error code would have the letter E or F in it. I would suggest that stands for 18 hour delay start cycle, you could do a reset on your washer by disconnecting power to it or turning off the household circuit breaker for ten minutes and turning it back on. Hope this information is helpful. -Matt

I've got an LE code on the front of my washer

This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Hope this helps.

Washer appears to be going throught the wash cycle but the counter is not counting down and it goes no further than the wash cycle. Just continues to do this the whole time. Model # FAV6800AWW

Here are some handy links if you are going to DIY the fix.

Are there any unbalance error codes to the LED display such as dC or uC?
When the washer stops can you place that wash load to a Spin Only Cycle and let me know if the Spin Only cycle completes. Are there any large tub swings in Spin Only cycle with that wash load that cause the Spin Cycle to stop with error codes dC or uC?

Let me know if you can to do some troubleshooting. It would require front panel removal so we can watch the Motor and verify it will rotate the Clutch Pulley CCW in the Spin Only Cycle. If you want to troubleshoot I will give you additional info to begin the process…….Rich

Stops on spin cycle and gives a f11 error code

F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press Cancel, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button until no-spin lights. Press the prewash button 4 times. C00 should appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them and end up on C08. If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the service tech.

Minolta Magicolor Fatal Error

Remove each of your cartridges one at a time and see if you can spin the toner rollers by pushing on the little white plastic gears with your finger. They will be tight but you should be able to spin the roller by moving the little gears around.

My printer started giving the Fatal Error Code 17H and I did all the removal of the four color cartridges and re-seating each of them to no avail. After removing each cartridge and checking to see if I could rotate the toner roller I found that the yellow cartridge was extremely tight. I took the cartridge outside and used a can of compressed air to blow all the toner off the roller and tapped the cartridge on all corners and shook it back and forth several time. Finally I was able to get the toner roller so that it would rotate when pushing the little white gears like the other three cartridges.

After replacing the cartridge in the printer it worked with no more error codes. Hopefully this will fix the problem until I can order a new yellow cartridge.
