Default phone lock code not effective

Don't FORMAT the phone until you have tried everything. Default Nokia lock/security code is 12345, it's always a 5-digit code, so even if you entered a new lock code consisting of 6-digits, it will only save the first 5-digits. So try 12345 first, if not, try to remember if you changed it, and used ONLY the first 5-digit of whatever number code you used.

what is your lock code?yes the default lock code are 12345 but if you change this default number now you cant fix it ..just remembering what the lock code you did and if not go the nearest celphone technician so they can format them in their pc..

When you format your phone, all data saved therein will be erased. Copy your contacts to your SIM and save your files on your memory card. To just reset the phone to its original settings, dial *#7780#, press YES then key in your lock code.The phone then restarts. Default lock code is 12345. This will not erase files and contacts on your phone. To format the phone, dial *#7730#, press YES then key in your lock code.
If you do not know the lock code, turn off the phone. Press and hold GREEN, * and 3 buttons while turning on the phone. Press and hold until hands appear on the screen.

ok just turn ur nokia phone OFF and hold "GREEN button"(call button) " * " , "3" button togther and turn ON ur phone holding ur power button too,
soon u will see FORMATING written on your phone.
if u r using new cell phone like N70 and above so FORMATING will not come but ur phone will be formating ok

• one thing more for N70 and above hold all the keys and power button untill ur phone's desktop doesnot appear
• for S60 old phone when u press all the buttons including power button too. dont leave untill a FORMATING screen appears on ur cell phone.

NOTE: Please do it on ur own risk, i shall not be blaim if ur phone goes dead...cause this solution is far to much powerful then *#7370# and it will make ur phone software new as on factory made..

try the following ways to format ur cell.

a):soft format:- by pressing *#7780# and the lock code(12345 by default)
which will only format the temperory memory of ur cell.
b):soft format:- by pressing *#7370# and the lock code(12345 by default)
which will format whole the memory also delete all the data saved in ur
cell such as contacts and mesages.

Unless you've changed it, it is usually the last four digits of your phone number by default

ok.... if u know uf nokia fone code , u can format by typing *#7370#. after that input yoursecurity code.. th default code is 12345.. thanks
