Do not print after a paper jam

Do a total power drain in your printer.

Turn it off. Unplug it from the wall outlet and from your computer. Make sure that you remember where those plugs to put back.

While turned off and unplugged, press and hold the power button of your printer to 8-10 seconds to drain the power.

After doing that, plug it in to the wall-outlet. Turn it on. Connect it to the printer. Turn off then turn it back on. Try printing. IT should work.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I hope this helps!

Printer wont comunicate with Computer

Try to unplug your printer from your computer. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset itself. When your printer turns on completely, reconnect to your computer. Try to print again. If problem continues, you may refer to these articles in the Lexmark website:
- Communication Not Available' Error Message and Print Job Stalls in Print Queue - No Communications Error When Trying to Print or Scan
I hope these help. Thanks.

Lights on but printer wont print

Hi there,

Follow this few steps, to diagnose the problem with your printer.
  1. Check the connection.
  2. Check the printer connection to your PC.
  3. Unplug the printer and plug it into a different outlet
  4. Make sure that you have properly installed the printer on your PC, all cables are connected and driver software for the printer was completely installed.
For an additional request, I would like to know your printer model, and since when you have this problem? Is there any error message appear when you try to print on your desktop?

Thanks.

Just let me know here again

My hp laserjet 1100 doesnt respond when i try to print

Not sure if this will help but if you right click on the printer and go to properties ( when your in printers and faxes ) and go to the ports tab I think it is and un tick the check box that says bi directional support and try it again.

Also what error are you getting thats printed off ?

what lights are on the printer and where are you getting the driver from, if the disc then try the latest driver from the hp website

My WGPS606 wont print on my Windows Vista laptop, its prints with all normall xp windows laptops and desktops, but I recently bought a new laptop and it does not print, the print says error, can somebody...

there is a proceedure for manually adding the printer ports instead of using the wizard on the software disk. Look on the disk and go to the guide .pdf file, the instrucitons are there. i tried it and it worked fine.

Wireless printing problems

I dont believe that you have done a wireless printing before. Or do you run another modell as the shown MFC420CN?

In case you mean you have printed wirelessly through a wireless router, you have to check the network connection:

Have a look around here:
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/faq/faq_top.htm?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc420cn_us

If you try to print/scan/fax by USB instead of useing the network make sure that the USB drivers are installed properly (either network OR Usb ;-))
