Cannot make a phone call plus I get a message that says unfortunately stock android has stopped working. How do I fix it.

You can try a factory reset. The deletes all personal data on your phone and resets it back to factory default, but should fix the problem.

  2. Tap System Reset. ...
  3. Tap Factory data reset Reset phone or Reset tablet. ...
  4. To erase all data from your device's internal storage, tap Erase everything.
  5. When your device has finished erasing, pick the option to restart.
Now, there are a couple of ways to retrieve your personal data.

Hi, I did a factory reset on my Samsung Galaxy S7 and lost my photos. Is there a way I can recover that data without rooting (jail breaking) my phone. I would like to return it to Verizon.

Option 1: Recover Android Data from Google

If you have set up Google account on your Android and enabled synchronization for all data, after factory reset, you can set up your Google account again on the phone. An option during the set up process will allow you to restore all the synced data.

Option 2: Restore Android Data from Backup

Many Android phones are endowed with local back up app or function. If you have backed up data regularly, then, after factory reset, just go to "Settings" > "Back up & restore", and select the latest backup file to restore data from backup.

Method 2: Android Data Recovery after Factory Reset without Backup Unfortunately, you might performed factory reset accidentally without backup, or the backup file lost or failed to be recognized by your phone, or some data couldn't be backed up, etc. If you come across any one of these situations, a professional data recovery software, Gihosoft Android Recovery Free, will do you a favor. With it, you can not only recover photos after factory reset on Android devices, but also other erased data. Moreover, it supports Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 +/S7/S7 Edge/S6/S6 Edge/Note 5/J7/J5, HTC 10/A9/M9, LG V20/V10/G6/G5, Sony, Motorola, Google, Huawei, ZTE, OnePlus, etc.

Note: A hard reset should only be performed after all other troubleshooting options have been exhausted or if you want to remove everything from your unit at the same time.

A hard reset removes all information from your device and returns it to a state just like it has never been used before.
All contacts, messages, emails, 3rd party applications, etc. will need to be reinstalled after performing a hard reset.

To perform a hard reset, from the Home screen, press Menu and tap Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete. This process will take 5-10 minutes.
