Konica 2490MF After fixing the "Registration solenoid SD2 fault" (the printer works fine now), I get the error message "scanner unit open, close scan unit...", but it is closed... How will the mashine know it is open? Where is the sensor? an what kind? I found so far a "Reed-Switch" on top near the original glas , near keyboard-error sign, the magnetic is in the cover. This works fine as I knew. Any Idea how to fix? I have had the Autofeed cover off the main-unit to repair the SD2. After put it all together, I get that error.

Most printers have a plastic pin on all of the covers that pushes a switch when it is closed. This then sends a signal to the printer telling it "I'm closed".
Probably the pin is broken off (quite by accident I'm sure). A solution is to push a piece of paper in the hole where the pin is, closing the switch, to fool the printer into thinking that the cover is closed. You can try this by pushing a pen point into the hole to see if the message goes out. (Don't forget to remove the paper when you open the cover. The switch is there to keep things out of the mechanism while it is running. May not hurt you but will damage the printer mechanics irreparably.)
Anything else is an error with the printer software and processor and can't be fixed easily.

in the meantime I found it myself. The Sensor is in the left corner of the scanner unit, it seemed to be a reed switch. Because I took the unit down from the main machine, I did not put it back in the correct way. The left corner could not close near enough.
I made three pictures of this situation.
