Edimax 4 ports broadband router wont connect

I cant connect to the net when iv wired up this router i think iv done every thing right but it just says limited or no connection not sure what im doing wrong please help oh and im a beginner on this pc thanks for your time

    i tride to disable my nat now it says not or no conection.

    All 3 lights on my 2 wire modem are green. I have 2 laptops connected wireless, both say they are connected with excellent strength, niether can aquire an ip address. There for neither of them will connect to the internet. I have my PC connected through the ethernet, that also says its connected but will not get online. My Xbox360 is connected through ethernet and it works just fine. Please help... Im about ready to throw it all out the window.

Try dong a TCP/IP stack repair Start -> Run -> Type CMD to open a command prompt. To reset the Winsock type this into the commnad prompt: netsh winsock reset catalog Next To reset TCP/IP type this into the command prompt: netsh int ip reset reset.log Then reboot your pc and see if that helps. If not let me know.

probably it is not configured properly to provide you the IP that is the DHCP service not started in your router so you are not being able to connect internet

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?

you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router

HI,
  Actually in short  "you NEED A MODEM;"
In order to connect your router you need to connect a modem in "bridge mode'( bridge mode is nothing but a configuration on the modem)..
