Shrinking picture Everything else is working fine on the tv, sound,color,inputs,etc...However the picture is starting to curve in from the sides like the shape of an hour glass. Is the tube shot? or is it something less costly?

Sony Wega TV lost color now only B/W KDF-42A10 born 6/06

Sounds like it's something more than the lamp. Double check all your connections...it might be something as simple as needing a new cord (RGB, HDMI, Component Video, etc) Does the problem exist with all inputs? (For example, DVD player, cable, etc) If the problem is only from ONE input source, try replacing that cable. If it's on all input sources...might be something more internal on your TV.
Good luck

have you connected up correctly, have you selected correct EXTERNAL inputs, you do NOT "tune" a Channel to see picture, you choose external AV input on set. Must connect color to color. 3 for Composite Video AV.Yellow, Video, Red & White Audio. and 5 cables for Component 3 for Video , & 2 for Audio Blue, Green, Red, Also Red & White, Audio.

Sony KP46WT510 picture goes back and fortto horizontal color bars

The pictures show the result of a bad terminal input board. You can verify this by checking the inputs. Connect devices to the board and try different inputs. You will most likely find this problem on the tuner and component input were your DVI and composite video will be ok. If it is the same on all inputs replace the A board

No picture or sound

Put the old chip back in...does the shrinking/expanding problem return? If so the new chip may be faulty.

If the problem stays the same - no audio/video  - check your soldering, cables, etc.
