Shaking My washer is brand new and when it is in the middle of the spin cycle it starts shaking uncontrollably and the only way to stop it is by turning it off.

Washer is completely level and spins perfectly when empty but as soon as you put a single article of clothing in it, the shaking and jumping around starts. Is there some sort of Rod or Pin that needs to be removed after unpacking it from the box? Someone else had mentioned that to me but I have no idea.

We have a brand new Frigidaire Front loading washer, and our problem is EXACTLY what annetipu describes. Our washer is completely level, but shakes uncontrollably when there is anything in it. It works fine when empty. We have to turn the washer off to stop the shaking.

We now have two problems with our just out of warranty Frigidaire tumble action washer.

    It shakes out of control.

And now the lights go on on the front panel. The lights on the right side which indicate door lock, wash, rinse etc.flash on and off. The machine just sits and beeps, beeps, beeps, beeps and does nothing else.

    Any ideas?

We have finally resolved our problem thanks to annetipu's note about someone mentioning a rod or pin that had to be removed. On the Frigidaire website, you will find the following:

14. Vibrating sounds. Tumble action washers: Shipping bolts or braces are still in the washer.

Remove 3 shipping bolts, 3 yellow spacers and 3 metal "P" clamps from the back of the washer. Remove the access panel from the front of the unit and remove 2 yellow shipping braces and large Styrofoam shipping block. Replace the access panel.

This solved our problem. Washer is wonderful now!

I pet the new machine on quick cycle it takes more then 1 1/2 hrs styed forever on spin then i had to unplug it. also shakes uncontrollably

You will need to make sure it is level. With the machine off rotate the plugs till the washing machine is level. If that doesn't work, you will need vibratins pads under the feet to stop the vibration and allow it to cycle normally.

My brand new amana washer shakes violently when spinning

try adjusting the feet on the bottom of the washer the floor may not be level to adjust the legs turn them with a wrench or if the lock nuts are not tight turn the legs clockwise as you look at the front of the machine till all four feet are sung on all 4 corners. This is the most common problem. hope this helps and thanks for using fix-ya

"whole new machine" per technician-STILL shakes uncontrollably

I had the same problem. I fixed it but not sure how long it will last. There are two load balancing springs one on either side of the drum. In my case one of them was apparently assembled without the plastic bushing where it attaches to the frame of the washer. This caused the spring to wear a slot all the way through the sheet metal and fall off. This left one spring attached pulling the drum to one side causing an unbalanced load. I ordered a new plastic bushing and spring online for about $40 for both. I then used JB Weld to fill in the gap where the sheet metal was worn through then reassembled with new parts. Been fine now for about 6 months.

Shaking uncontrollably during spin

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

IF THIS IS A BRAND NEW INSTALLATION - be sure you have removed the basket shipping pins (4) that secure the tub during shipping.

My Kenmore 80 series washer shakes uncontrollably in spin cycle.

try this
the washer needs to be leveled on a flat surface to properly function rock forwards then backwards
washing machine have stablizers on there leg pegs this insures it has a proper setting on floor
if this did not help there is a spring under neith that you did not load back to bucket to keep in place
most likely it just needs to be rocked you will know if pegs are seated properly

Shaking Machine

indicates that the tub support dampers have failed and new support rods are required
available from the service agent or manufacturer
they allow the tub to not be level and that starts off an uncontrolled unbalance situation
