Speakers not working correctly

I just set up my Logitech x-530 speakers, but the configuration doesn't seem to work correctly. I am getting sound from all speakers, but for instance, when I run the "test" for speakers, I get the sub woofer sound from the right rear speaker, the rear speaker sounds from the center channel, etc. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, if that helps. Please help! Thanks!

Already fixed....I didn't realize that my system was set for 7.1...thats why the configuration was all screwed up. Once I changed settings from 5.1 to 7.1, then cancelled out the rear speakers for the side speakers, everything worked like a charm! Thanks for the help, though!

In my earlier post, I stated that I switched from 5.1 to 7.1. I'm sorry, but this is incorrect! It should have read I switched FROM 7.1 TO 5.1! Thats when everything worked for me! Sorry for the misprint!

Hi, I bought recently a new 5.1 Surround Sound System Logitech X-530 and want to connect it to our new LCD LG 32LD450 HD TV. The LG TV has apart from all Digital, Optical and RCA Connections as well one...

You can't connect the speakers to your TV. I doesn't have any audio output available, just inputs. Those are for connecting the audio from sources like DVD players, and they go in to the TV's sound system. But there's no way of getting the sound out except through the set's internal speakers. The surround system you got is great for a computer, but it's not what you need for TV use.

The only solution I can offer is the suggestion that you invest in a home theater receiver. You can get decent basic systems with the receiver (often with DVD/audio CD playback capability built in) and surround speakers at reasonable prices. Then you use that to drive the speakers, and use the TV just as a video monitor. Then you will have surround sound.

I bought a x-530 5.1 and i cant seem to get all the speakers to work

First you have to connect them correctly to your sound card (green=Front, Black=back, orange= central+woofer)
Then set your sound card from it's drivers to 5.1 output.
All 5.1 sound cards should have a 5.1 sound test for each speaker, if not try a mp3 in windows media player.
Remember you have to set 5.1 output in each program to have sound in each speaker.

How to connect 5.1 intex speakers

your problem is you have a very nice 5.1 speaker set but you have not configured your system to use the 5.1 configuration.

if you are using the realtek drivers, then try to open the configuration panel,
and in the control panel try to change the default sound configuration to 5.1 surround sound configuration. then all your speakers will work.
hope this helps

Only two speakers are working I have vista ultimate install in my computer , I have logitech X-530 speakers

Helllo there!
You have to make sure you have in control panel your audio sound card, well installed and is working right. Then go to control panel and see your speaker configuration, is suppose to be at 5.1 speakers also you can use 6.1 Speaker configuration. Be sure you connect right your speakers at back of the audio jacks!
that's it!
good luck!

My speakers dont work , only my subwoofer

Check you sound properties. The computer may not have configured the speakers properly. Make sure the speakers are listed and that the correct drivers are installed. Doublecheck that you have the plugs in the proper jacks. Hope this helps.

Logitech x530

I have had this a few times with customers. You might want to check if the sound cards front speaker ports are working correctly. If the card is working, the problem might be with your right front speaker, ckech that it is working. You might also want to check the settings in control panel; this has helped me a number of times.

cheers

Logitech x-530 speaker problem

Try going through this troubleshooting procedure site first: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-...*uWZ8vi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NzgmcF9wcm9kcz04NDQsMTcmcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PTIuMTcmcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9Mg**&p_li=&p_topview=1 If you get no solution from this, there are other similar logitech speaker systems that have had similar problems on initial models. it appears that logitech have been very helpful with replacing speakers in the past if design or product is faulty. Give them a try. hope this helps:)
