The power fuse blows sometime oven will work for a while before it blows the fuse. I have the cover off I found one of 3 thermostats rings open 2 ring closed could that be the problem?

Rings??? Do you mean the thermal protectors?? Some are normally open, others are called a fan switch, and only close if the unit gets too hot and then it closes to turn on the fan to cool the unit. Need to know which one you are checking. A limit to shut down the unit as protection, or a fan switch to turn on the fan to cool the unit down.

Not cooling

are you talking about a central a/c system? the fan that blows is the indoor air fan? check breakers for outside unit. one breaker in the house panel box and a breaker at the outside unit. because other wise tha cap or contactor (for the outside unit) may be bad. both of witch may keep unit from turning on. unless you are knowledgeable about electricity I would not recommend opening the outdoor unit. you could get electrocuted. safety first

Why would my combo A/C - Heater unit not blow air while heating or cooling is selected but will blow air just fine when set to "fan only"?

Sounds like wiring issue to me. I've delt with units like this and there is a wire lead for fan only and a separate one to run the fan when the unit is cooling or heating. I'm only speculating here but I would bet money that this was improperly installed.

Dont get discouraged though because it sounds like its working (for the most part) if you feel up to the task find the manual and check your connections. Otherwise hire a professional.

My air handler fan does not come on, the outside unit turns on fine. Is their a way to reset the fan?

Check for fan operation by turning the fan control at the thermostat to "on". If the fan blows, it works. If not, check a circuit breaker or fuse.

If the fan blows when forcing it on with the thermostat but not in automatic, check the fan control circuit in the air handler. Danger: high voltage, beware! There should be a system wiring diagram inside the air handler somewhere.

House HVAC Not Blowing

If the outside unit is running and the inside unit is not, probably a problem with the fan motor itself or its capacitor. If you have to have someone repair or replace the fan $200-$250 with parts, a capacitor for a service call and part $100 or so. Check it yourself first to see if there is anything obvious broken wire, hot connection, etc if you feel safe doing that. Turn the power off first. There is also a chance the thermostat could be the problem. Have you tried running the fan on the thermostat "fan on" setting?

I am still having the problem with my car fan blowing when the car is off for more than an hour. it blows warm air on full blast. can hear outside of car. when put key in and turn ignition it stops.

There is a small relay unit which turns off the fan once it cools the engine. Have the relay unit replaced, also check the fuse if fuse is defective fan may run longer. than normal.

My ducted heating continually blows cold air thru

Well, if need be, turn the breaker off. Turn it on when you need heat. Sounds like the fan relay is sticking or something if that sort. Is the tstat fan selector on auto?

If the fan blows cold air the compressor is already on.
