Question about Toshiba TP55H60 55" Rear Projection Television

I have a 1998 toshiba tp55h60 that I have been using for my classroom. Recently I tried to plug the wii into it and there is no sound or picture from any of the video/audio in connects. I even tried to run the wii through a VCR by using the coaxel. Still got nothing. The menu screen still comes up and I have tried to reset everything. Is there a simple fix for this or should I just free up some space and scrap it.

SOURCE: only getting sound but no picture!

Well, i had a look at the back of that Toshiba TV - make sure that the red, white, and yellow cables are hooked into the Video-1 slot of the Toshiba and that the Toshiba channel is changed to Video 1.
Then check your nameless DVD player and make sure the red, white, and yello cables are all hooked to OUTPUT slots that are in the same column or row - if I had you DVD manufacturer and model #, I could suggest some additional steps to check. Also, make sure your dvd player is in dvd playback mode.

Fuzzy picture and dark picture and color seperation when hot.

The colors seperating is a convergence problem, as far as being dim this may be related but the TV likely needs service adjustments.

convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

My 1999 TOSHIBA TP55H60 picture is not clear.

When is this happen? almost 8yr old the unit. In this case did u change the lamp bafore? Its seems that the lamp is dying. Try to use a DVD as ur imput and post here if it had a diff.? Use Audio/Video input instead of Coax (Cable). Hope this may help you
