The ac adaptor for the psp is to charge up but when I plug it in it will not charge.I can not charge it up with usb mode because it does not have any power left.I do not have a speare ac adaptor.please if anyone has the same problem or a solution then give me a email at [email protected]
This i'm afraid is a problem with the psp. to charge the psp off a computer usb mode doesn't need to be entered. so it will charge automatically and if not either the battery or psp charge port are stuffed. try a borrowed battery first then if that doesn't change it trade it in to eb games and get yourself a new one

Make sure the wireless (WLAN) network function is not in use while charging. The battery pack cannot be recharged when the WLAN function is being used.
If you are charging the battery pack in an extremely cold location, it might take longer to charge.
There might be a problem with the battery pack. For the PSP system, try using a replacement battery pack of the same type. For the PSPgo, the battery is built-in, you may need to send your system in for service.
You could try another battery.But if another battery doesn't work,sorry mate I think it's dead.In future make sure you only use what you know is compatible,also NEVER try to run the PSP with the AC adaptor without the battery in.The PSP safety and support booklet states: Do not use the PSP system with the AC Adaptor when the Battery Pack is not inserted in the system.If the AC Adaptor is disconnected suddenly,it may result in damage to the system.

Are you plugging the charging plug into the PSP?There are two plugs on the USB cable 1.the USB plug. 2.the charger plug itself. The USB cable looks like the other end that plugs into the computer only smaller.The charger plug looks like the ordinary AC adaptor.
Also note that You need the computer/device that the PSP is connected to,must be turned on,well this is true with mine anyway.
Also the USB does not charge the PSP as fast as the AC adaptor.
The psp isn't made to charge from usb by default, if you see that small yellow plug in on the either the side or the bottom, you should have a ac adaptor that came with it to plug in there.
please check ur battery if it is holding any charge with a Multimeter or has it leeked.Try a differ PSP battery.B ecause the PSP needs the battery to start.

Confirm the system is not in HOLD mode Make sure the PSP system is not in Hold Mode (in the down position). Slide the Power/Hold switch up to clear Hold Mode. Or try sliding the Power/Hold switch up and holding it there until the power indicator light turns off and the PSP system is completely turned off. Then try turning the PSP on again.
Confirm the backlight is ON Make sure the LCD screen's backlight is not turned off. If it is, press any button to turn ON the backlight.
