I have a LTV-27w2. It turned on just fine and after about 5 mins it just turned off and it wont turn back on.

The tv got a heat sensor, the only way to fix tv , if you are a tv tech, is to buy a bottle of "freez it" spray small sections of tv in side. It will be clearly where the fault is if you spray correct part that give trouble. Replace that part and Tv will be Ok.

SOURCE: The TV doesn't turn on and it has a purple light.

MAIN BOARD IS BAD...THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT MAIN BOARDS FOR THIS TV...IF S/N STARTS WITH W2702...USE P/N 5600110351...IF S/N STARTS WITH W2751...USE P/N 5600110493...PART CAN BE ORDERED FROM ANDREWS ELECTRONICS IN CALIFORNIA..YOU MAY CONSIDER TAKING THE SET TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP..

There is no reset button, to reset it, unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself.

That could be either the Power supply or the main board. I would think the main board is most likely because of the Blue screen you mentioned.

AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES IT TURNS OFF THEN I TURN IT BACK ON AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING

I found vibration also made mine go out... Found square cap beside transformer had solder connection on one leg cracked loose and 2 other through board connections cracking... Reflowed solder on all through connections on primary side of Power supply fixed problem.

I have a westinghouse lcd tv ltv-27w2 that once you power on .. it acts like its going to come on and then the green light turns amber and doesnt come on... this is after a power outage.. once electricity...

Change the backlight video board,shorted,when power outage.

Westinghouse tv has only half of picture on screen

screen driver has failed on the screen, also known as the t-con board this controls the lcd screen, looks to me as its failed and just needs replacing depending on your location price is from £5 upwards in UK just make sure you replace the board with the same board as the original. t-con board is located on the back of the screen under the metal shield with the wires coming out going to the main av board 4 screws and 2- 4 clips on the board connecting the ribbons to the screen itself.
