Formatting SD Card to shoot stills

Press up or down key and change it to "PC camera" or "Storage". 5. Press "OK" key to confirm. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to Format internal memory or memory card (Regarding how to format, please reference user manual page 27. ) > Formatting SD Card Prior to its initial usage, format the SD card. To format the SD card, please insert your compatible SD card into SD slot. Then proceed with the following steps: 1. In "Capture" mode, press "MENU" button into the setting mode. 2. You can see "Capture" and "Setup" in the screen. 3. Press right key to "Setup" then press down key to "Format". 4. Press right key to next step. 5. Press down key to "Confirm". 6. Press "OK" button to confirm. The SD card will be formatted. > Formatting the Internal Memory Take out SD card from the slot and format the Internal Memory by following the above mentioned steps . NOTICE 1. Prior to formatting the SD card, deactivate the ¡§Protect SD card¡¨ function. 2. The internal memory cannot be formatted when the SD card is in the camera.

You can erase in the camera, or format the SD card. Or open Start Menu, Computer, Click on the SD card, open, select ALL, delete, OR, right click on the SD card, format.

If your Storio displays a blank blue screen upon start up, please perform the below procedure to restore the Storio back to factory standard - please note this procedure requires the use of a blank SD memory card and some form of SD card reader (either a port on the PC or a USB SD reader)

•Please firstly download the SD Card Recovery Creator

•Insert your SD card into the SD reader port on your PC or via a USB SD card reader - this should appear as a removable disk under your computer menu

•Double click the Vtech Icon located in your downloads folder to run the program - Click Continue

•Click 'Make Recover Program Card' then click 'Next'

•From the drop down menu, select the removable disk drive allocated to the SD card (drive E shown for demonstration purposes, the actual drive allocated to your SD card may differ)

•The application will now format the SD card with the Storio factory default operating system

•When the following screen appears, remove the SD card and then re insert it into the SD port or reader to complete the format

•Once the format is complete the following confirmation will appear - please click OK and follow steps 1-5 to finish restoring your Storio to factory standard.

•Please note, once the process is complete, you will need to re run the program to 'revert' the SD card back to a usable state

The manual gives three options if this warning shows.

The memory card has not been formatted.
To format the card select Format on Setup Menu 1.
(2)
The memory contacts require cleaning.
Clean the contacts with a soft dry cloth.
(3)
Camera malfunction.
Contact a FujiFilm dealer.

hi it sounds like a software problem. follow the following instructions. Please can you try and reformat the 2gb micro sd card in your pc and copy firmware from the CD back onto the 2gb micro sd card following the instructions below. be warned that formating will remove even the games from the card so make sure you have a backup of the games saved to your computer. any saved games will also be erased.

To format the 2gb micro sd card
1. Insert sd card into usb stick and into usb port.
2. Close autoplay screen if it appears.
3. Right click on removeable drive. (Eg D, E, F or J etc) that appeared on screen in computer window.
4. Left click on format in menu and when format window appears, tick quick format box and select ok. This will erase all content on the sd card and remove any corrupt firmware.

To reload firmware
1. Insert cd into pc cd/dvd drive.
2. Open cd drive on screen and copy and paste the files and folders from the system/english 1.18 folder on the cd to the removeable drive that the usb and micro sd card are in. The folders that you will copy are "_system_" and "moonshl" and the files will be "menu.dat" and "mshl.nds".
3. Once copied, check removeable drive to ensure files and folders have copied over.
4. Remove usb stick from pc and insert sd card back into R4. R4 menu should appear on DS screen. this normaly sorts this out. paul

Your sd card may have too much memory or it may be an hd
