Since you declined to specify the model of your VTech DECT 6.0 system, I can only suggest that you enter it into the search box here to download a copy of the manual. The manual will give step-by-step instructions for setting up the answering machine.
Hello Genevieve, What you need to do is re-program the phone answering system. To do this you would need the set up instructions which can be found in the user manual. Answering machine instructions can be found on on page 26. Reset the system by cutting off the power to the unit and then take out the battery for about 5 mins. Upon putting it back setup the answering machine from scratch. Do let me know if this has been helpful? Thank you for visiting FixYa.
There's nothing about voicemail in the manual since the T2326 isn't an answering machine. If you're subscribed to a voicemail system offered by your phone company, contact them for instructions. If you have a separate answering machine connected to your phone line, consult its documentation.
Your machine is set to Announce Only, where it announces you're not available but does not allow the caller to leave a message. To allow the caller to leave a message, switch your machine to Answer. I wish I could tell you exactly how to do that, but since you neglected to specify the model of your VTech 5.8GHz system I can only suggest you enter it into the search box at http://www.vtechphones.com/support/general/manuals to download a copy of the manual.
The LS6215 isn't an answering machine. If you have a separate answering machine connected to your phone line, refer to its documentation. If you subscribe to a voicemail system offered by your telephone company, contact them for instructions on setting up and using their system.
