It got to where it wasn't making much ice because the water filters got clogged. We changed them and it is doing the same thing only it is getting progressivly worse. Over night it made about a quart of ice. Any suggestions? we have tried shutting it off for a few days and starting it back up but no luck. Thanks, GeoffT
Look at water solenoid valve when the unit is running in ice mode. Check to see if the water is shuting off completely. If the water valve does not close properly it will keep adding a little bit warm water to the ice a slow down the ice production.

Is it making ice? Frost on this line is not that uncommon as it is colder than the air around it. Make sure you have good water flow over the evap plates. machine may just need a good chemical cleaning.
Remove the cover where the persons finger is and check to make sure that it is not covered with ice. Sounds like your machine iced oup and you will need to clean the coils and possibly replace the thermostat
Always attempt to have Hoshizaki pumps rebuilt when possible. The parts are cheap compared to buying a new pump. Check ebay from time to time I have just started tearing units down and selling the used parts, that are still functional. Sold that pump for $75 last week
