My bios has a problem need to repair want a nice recovery software

The only place you should be getting a bios upgrade is from Toshiba's website.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ToshibaSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Bios drivers. This is called flashing the bios.

How do I upgrade the Bios for E5140, E5320, E5520, E6150, E6520, E6530 and E6550 LifeBooks?
NOTE: This BIOS upgrade is for E5140, E5320, E5520, E6150, E6520, E6530 and E6550 LifeBooks. The upgrade fixes an issue with the Full Dock II/LAN Dock II/Port Replicator II.
Instructions on Upgrading the BIOS.
Step 1: Create a bootable BIOS upgrade disk
This step can be performed on any system (desktop/notebook computer) running a Microsoft Operating system.
  1. Place the BIOS upgrade disk in the floppy drive of your pc/notebook.
  2. Copy the system files onto the BIOS upgrade disk to make it bootable.
  3. For example:
MS DOS prompt: type 'sys A:'
    MS Windows:
  4. Double click "My computer" on the desktop.
  5. Right click the floppy drive icon.
  6. Select "Format?"
  7. Select the "copy system files only" option
Step 2: Upgrading the BIOS
  1. Attach a floppy disk drive to the LifeBook to be upgraded.
  2. Place the BIOS upgrade disk (created in Step 1) in the floppy drive of that LifeBook.
  3. Reboot the system. Boot from the floppy.
  4. At the command prompt, type:
phlash /mode=3 filename.rom (put a space after "phlash" and after "3". Filename is the name of the BIOS.)
  5. Allow the system to reboot.
Step 3: Change BIOS settings (For users upgrading from Windows 9x to Windows 2000).
To allow Windows 2000 to better manage your system, change the following settings in your BIOS:
a) Boot the notebook and press F2 to enter BIOS setup.
b) Set Power Management to Disabled
b) Set Plug and Play OS to NO
Consult your user's guide on how to change BIOS settings.

Hi, my name is prince can any body help me. I have a mother board gigabyte 845 and we can not installed xp. we have done the partition but when system copy the system file from CD the system againt showing...

Are you installing Windows XP service pack2? This is the problem from the bios, upgrade the bios with latest and it might solve your issue. But be very careful when upgrading the BIOS if the proper version of the BIOS is not upgraded it may corrupt the bios and will make the motherboard dead. Download the manual of upgrading the BIOS from the website, you will also get the latest version of the BIOS from there.

Where can I find info to setup bios. also how do I upgrade bios

Hi,
For this you need to know the exact model of your motherboard. Your current BIOS firmware version can be seen in the BIOS setup window itself ( Press DEL key during your system startup to enter into BIOS screen)
Your motherboard should have Flash BIOS so as to upgrade its firmware. All latest motherboards will have this type only. Goto your motherboard manufacturer website and search for latest BIOS firmware for your exact model. There itself you can find the utility required for BIOS. download that utility and using which you can update your firmware. Please do update your BIOS only if it is required.
I hopt his is helpful to you

I need a bios upgrade. I have a PT800DBP Motherboard Motherboard: CPU Type Intel Pentium 4A, 2833 MHz (7 x 405) Motherboard Name Unknown Motherboard Chipset VIA VT8763 Apollo PT800 System Memory 512 MB...

boot the pc from cold, note the long identifier number - it contains a 2 character identifier for the board manufacturer. For more info go to the Award bios website, it has a better explanation of this. From there you will be able to either download new BIOS from there, or the website of the vendor/manufacturer.

Windows Vista

hi there
There is 2 ways to do this, firstly you can create a floppy disk with the updated bios flash file on ( not recommended to a novice ) or reinstall XP and updated the bios by downloading it from the manufacturers website and installing it that way. After that you can install Vista.

good luck

The newest versions of the firmware are on the intermec website. You will have to register in order to download, but a fake name/address will work...if it is a 740/750 the newest firmware is 4.51 PSM 3.93.1, and if it is a 741/751 the newest firmware is 4.95.1 PSM 4.06. the 760 and 761 have different versions of firmware depending if it is GPRS or CDMA.

Issues in Upgrading BIOS

Actually, your motherboard is a GA-7ZMMH, which we were lucky enough to see in the BIOS ID string. You can find the latest BIOS's from Gigabyte's website at: http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=1315 It looks like you're on the F5 rev. I would suggest the F10 rev, and only go to the F11b rev if you need the support for the Athlon XP 2600+. If you are not upgrading your BIOS for CPU support, or you do not need to support a CPU faster than the Athlon XP 2200+, then go with the F10 rev.
