Hi,

"No papers on the Chute unit" error occurs when the Hopper empty sensor detects no paper loaded on the Chute unit at the receipt of a Feed command. To recover this, Load documents on the Chute unit.
1. Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner? Press power button of the scanner for more than 2 seconds to turn it OFF, and after more than 2 seconds elapse, press the power button to turn the scanner ON.
2. Is there a slip of paper left near Hopper empty sensor? Open the ADF and check inside visually.
3. Check the performance of Hopper empty sensor. Conduct Maintenance mode to see if the sensor works properly.

If the error still occurs, confirm that the cable is correctly connected then replace the sensor EM.

SOURCE: fujitsu scanner light bar will not return to

Hi,

When you face such errors, please check if the Scanner panel displays-"E-0" and TWAIN displays- “The running system is abnormal. Please confirm the carrier lock has come off.”

The error is Carrier unit drive alarm. After power-on, carrier unit (FB) moves to home position, that is where the carrier unit locates when home position sensor is turned ON. If the home position sensor is not turned ON after the carrier unit has moved pre-defined steps, this error occurs.

Probable causes:
Defective sensor, motor, or carrier belt.

Also, please check the following:

1. Is there is any abnormal noise from FB motor when this error occurs?
2. Does any foreign object get inside drive unit or carrier unit?
3. Is CR belt tension loose? Loose belt should be tightened.

Hope the above information will be helpful.

Please revert if you have further queries.

Thanks & regards,

TechSatya

Scanner will not form feed

There is an option in the dialog box where you select the paper source either ADF (chute) or flatbed. The options differs depending whether you are using twain interface for scanning or isis.
You need to select the proper source. If the paper source is correct then, probably, the paper sensor in the chute unit is not operating properly.

U8 detail 61

Hi,

U8 is the ADF Set-up Error. This error is displayed when Pick roller unit is locked in the upper position, release(lower) the Pick roller unit to resolve the error. Secondly, if the hopper is over loaded, reduce the document load on the hopper.

Hope the above information is helpful.

How do I set up my scanner to scan multiple pages at once, without having to keep hitting the scan button. ( fi-6140 )

Hi, are you using Scannedallpro software? If so, press the batch scan setting button (2nd right after the white drop down menu). This will give you access to your settings. Select add, name your new profile appropriately, then select SCAN, Click SHOW CONFIRMATION WHEN NO PAPER IN ADF, then click on Detail Scanner Settings. This will take you to your options screen. Select either Duplex, for double sided or ADF Front side for single sided. You can choose to drop out blanks by clicking on the OPTION button at the bottoms of the screen, then JOB/CACHE, click the selection button for Blank Page Skip and choose the sensitivity. (I usually use a low setting). Click OK.
when happy with your settings click OK again, then apply.

Use your new profile to batch scan. The system will scan until the hopper is empty and should ask if you want to continue with the same batch scan, allowing you to add paper until the job is complete.

NB Always ensure you have selected Multi Page Tagged Image File Format as the system will not save your scan as one document without it.

Hope this helps!

Fi 5750c adf will not initialise

Just something simple to try...check your software setting to see if it is set for ADF or Flatbed feeding. You said the light bar moves when power is interupted or the adf opened. But you never said if it is scanning in Flatbed mode. If the Flatbed scans, then check the software setting. Most of the flatbed/adf hybrid scanners start up defaulted to flatbed, so when you try to scan, the adf won't pull anything thru until you change to ADF mode.
