Fuses are not your issue. Look in your owner's manual. Find the procedure to return your unit to "Factory Defaults". I'm sure you just have something switched wrong.
I found conflicting information. The documentation for the Sony SA-VA3 speakers rates the amplifier output to the rear speakes as 26 W (4 ohms at 1 kHz,10 % THD) continuous RMS power. On the other hand, the rear speakers for a Sony SA-VA3 system are Sony SS-SR300 speakers. I saw some of these speakers on eBay, and their rear labels says that they are 8 Ohm speakers.
Regardless, these speakers are supposed to be connected to the terminals on the rear of your left SA-VA3 front speaker. They are not supposed to be connected directly to your receiver.
If they are in fact 4 Ohm speakers, connecting them to a receiver that is expecting 8 Ohm impedance is not recommended. It might work as long as the volume level is low, but at high sound levels it is possible that you could blow your amplifier.
One more thing: don't overlook the obvious. If you connect these to the "B" speaker terminals on your receiver, make sure to select "B" speakers in order to hear sound from them.

this is something a tech expert on electronics can handle. even replacing parts has to be attended by a pro-technician. something is wrong with your DSP processor or system components. it could be the switch only or it could be the processor.
