I went out last night and took some pictures, after about 20 pictures my camera told me that my card was full. i had around 800 pictures on my camera already and when i went to delete some so that the memory card wasent full, i could only see about 7 or 8 pictures i had taken later in the night. this morning i went to upload my pics onto the laptop and used my usb cable to do so, in doing this, the 7 or 8 pics flashed up. i took this out and put my memory card in, the 800+ pics came up but not the 7 or 8 pics. i left it a while. when i tried to upload them again, i couldnt find the 7 or 8 pics, so now all i have is the 800+ ones. is there anyway the 7 or 8 pics could have got removed when i went to view them? i really would like to see those pics so if anyone can help me id really apprechiate that. thank you.

Delete/ or move some pictures from internal memory or if the camera has external memory set your camera storage option to external memory/memory card.
Good Luck
They are being saved to the internal memory of the camera. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card and it should now work properly.
If this camera takes pictures at 7MB (resolution), and you only have 20 MB of internal memory, it will fill up really quickly. You'll want to check out getting "extra" memory, e.g. the xD Picture Card, for this camera, that is up to 2GB, to hold more pictures.
You need to get that one pic out of the internal memory. Here's how...remove your memory card. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your memory card and do the "format" thing again to erase and initialize the card. Everything should work properly now.
You problem set your camera to use internal memory only. Set the memory function to memory card only and all pictures will go to the memory card until it is full. You can probably still transfer your pic files from internal memory to your card.
I own the same camera, Not sure about no pictures showing in the memory but you can get a 2 gig memory card for around $20 in stores or around $15 or $16 on ebay, holds over 700 pictures at the highest resolution. Also try to download your pictures to your computer if you haven't already. Hope this helps.
That is most likely correct. I have a Z740 and can only take around 20. My moms will only take 9! Memory cards are cheap. Get a 1 gb card which will hold around 600 or more pictures. You can get one in electronics at wal-mart for around 20-30 dollars. It's a good investment.
Whatdoes the maual say about the cpacity of the internal memory and what happens when it is full?
There is probably a more comprehensive manual on the CD by the way.
Come back with the answer and I take it further.
