Virues I have a virus on my computer and it is called aware zeno and I am not sure how to remove it. I have mcaffe antivirus but I guess it didn't help.

Hink it must be a spyware than a virus. I would advise you to follow the following steps to see if this helps. download the following utility.] http://www.internetinspiration.co.uk/downloads/roguefix_2.82.bat Boot your system in the Safe mode and execute this bat file Follow the instructions on the screen. reboot the system in the normal mode and it should go. Kindly update about the symptoms of award zeno if you can. Thanks Ashish

I have Antivirus Pro 2009 and its a fake, can't remove it...

Shut the computer down. Disconnect from the network/internet.
Restart, tap F8 until you get the safe mode menu, chose safe mode no network, uninstall, click start, click run, type regedit, click edit, click find, type antivirus, click next, see if what it found is antivirus pro or norton, if pro delete it hit F3 key to repeat the search and continue deleting the antivirus pro entries until there are NONE left.. if one or more of the entries pointed to a file name go delete that file, restart in normal mode, run Norton, remove any virus found, run Ad-Aware from lavasoft.com remove any critical objects and leave any negligible ones alone, now you should be able to plug back into the net and do ALL windows updates, and update norton and ad-aware.

You can remove virus by using updated antivirus. Install it on your computer. I recommend you to use updated AVG 8 or AVAST antivirus full versions because it will surely remove viruses from your system. Scan your computer with the antivirus and don't forget to delete all the infected files and the viruses found in the chest or mostly known as virus vault. Use only one antivirus on your system because using more than one antivirus may crash down your computer.

use a good antivirus like AVG, a free edition is also available..at http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe
do a update of the virus and run a full system scan..that should help..other good antivirus are Kaspersky,McAffe etc

reboot the computer with the reboot disk and make sure you do the total resore reformat and all and it should be fine

if not you might need to buy a new hard drive and then it should be fine

download and install some antivirus like kasperky,norton,mcaffe etc then update the virus definitions and then you will be able to remove it ...
after removing the virus also you may experience the OS slow because some of the system files will be corrupted so .. after removing virus you must reinstall the OS ...
then dnt forget to install the gud antivirus & dnt forget to update it once in 15 days....

If you still prefer Windows 98, make sure you download the latest version (or the last one, since Microsoft has stopped rolling out updates for Windows 98), and install a good antivirus. Try AVG, a free antivirus, or Kapersky, rated the best antivirus around. Of course, you have to install a firewall, try ZoneAlarm. Although you might have to search for a version compatible with Windows 98. If you can afford, try upgrading to Windows 2000.
