Question about Mag Innovision 19" LCD Flat-Panel Monitor LT916S

1 Answer

Black screen Like others here I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 of a second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. I followed what was listed here. http://www.fixya.com/support/t122207-mon... Monitor worked for 20 minutes then shut down again. Now you can only get it to work for 1-2 seconds. Please help. Comment by denada777, posted on Sep 19, 2007 already did that. have the old sony lcd hooked up right now. works great, just smaller Solution #1posted on Sep 19, 2007 By guide2u Rank: Master Rating: 79.09%, 44 votes How do you know that your LCD is the real root cause of this issue? I suggest you try to use a KNOWN GOOD MOnitor/LCD to confirm it first.

Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen blacked out, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,

Screen shows for 2 seconds, then black, power button still on

You could have an inverter problem or a faulty CCFL lamp/s.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Monitor is bad for sure. Try another known good monitor on your computer and if the problem stops then you know for sure the original monitor is bad. Hope this helps.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

YOU NEED TO HAVE THE INVERTER BOARD REPLACED.
YOU CAN USUALLY FIN THEM ON E BAY OR YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT IN IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE REPLACING IT YOURSELF.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

do you have an aftermarket video card. In the bios you have to tell the computer if it is looking for a agp/onboard or PCI video card. Either that or the video driver or settings are wrong Try safe mode to check

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.

I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.
