Question about Fisher and Paykel GWL11 Top Load Washer

F & P GW712 - bowl spins, but won't fill.

I moved house the other day and now the washing machine (Fisher & Paykel GW712) won't fill. Water supply appears to be fine. Powers up OK and allows selection of wash preferences, however, bowl just spins and makes no attempt to fill on either hot or cold. Tried advancing the wash cycle to rinse, but again, does not fill. Was thinking the bowl might be out of balance, but not sure.

Same problem here. Machine is only 2 years old and have a couple problems. 1) can only wash 1/2 loads or lights blink and machine beeps. 2) since last unbalanced load was corected, machine will only fill about 2 cups of water in and then start and stop agitation without any more water.

I have a Fisher and Paykel GWL11-US which has been leaking a wee bit under the machine, then developed a bit of an internal drip at the end of a cycle, and now this morning won't fill at all. The bowl spins, but no water. I've checked the water supply and cleaned the filter at the tap; still nothing. I can't figure out how to remove the filter at the machine.

Replaced wiring harness on the Fisher and Paykel GW712 washing machine and now first and seventh light comes on just after the start of fill. Also have noticed the same lights come on immediately when washing machine is tilted back.

Check the hieght of your outlet hose, the bowel will run out of the hose until they level out, hook your hose by a hanger to the back of the machine

Read your user manual - but I would suggest that you may not have setup the balance properly. Check the level of the machine and adjust to be as square as possible by adjusting the feet at the bottom. If the water isnt coming in on both hot and cold sounds like a common problem - perhaps the water level sensor is playing up or something else has been knocked during transportation of the machine when you moved house. Check your user manual for troubleshooting. Sounds dumb, but check that 'delay start' isnt selected also. check both hoses filters are not blocked.

Fisher & Paykel washer GW712 won't spin

There is an issue with your drainage area. Best to remove the pump and check for the obstruction in the line or at the impellar.(If the water is not completely drained, the pressure switch wont send a low level to the timer to allow a spin).

Water flow into machine dribbling - Fisher and Paykel GW712 (AU)

The first thing that needs to be done is to disconnect the fill hoses from the back of the machine. Once disconnected, look at the inlet valve screens and check for blockage, if clear, open the water valves and check for water flow through hoses, if not clear, clean screens at fill valve, reconnect hoses & check for operation. If the problem remains, then the problem is with the machines fill valve & it would need to be replaced

Machine not filling with hot water

First check the filters in the inlet hose and hot water pressure. Sounds to me like the hot water valve is faulty. Test the w/machine on a hot water cycle, if you hear a noise and its not filling it up with water, its a faulty hot water valve. Air pressure?? change the water valve and remember it has a little rubber boot on the old water valve, transfer this to the new valve,or go into option adjustment mode and change you wash temperature settings.
