If there is no high voltage and you changed converg. amps, then there are still fuses on converg side that could be bad. Also Horizontal output could be bad. If set is dead or just will not come on and has little sound. These could be 2 different problems.

Have a Sony KP-65WV600, already replaced d board once, and replaced convergence ic's once also. Now as soon as I turn unit on, turns to red screen and shuts off, video that is, audio works ok, noticed...

Check High voltage Block. After replacing ic's (STK convergence ic's) you need to adjust Black&White scale.Turn ALL screen adjustments to min.Turn TV on and adjust screen slowly for each gun (I would start with Red first ) when you came to point that you see red background with white lines across, at that point G2 is too high (that will cause TV to shut down, don't worry just lowered adjustment and turn tv back on) so adjust to proper voltage and do the same for each gun. After that, adjust focus for each gun (again all controls are on High Voltage Block and HVB is mounted on front of your tv after you take speaker gril out) black box with 6 controls' screen RGB, focus RGB .
You should do that in dark room in order to get perfect Black&White scale, when all guns are adjusted properly you will see grey picture.Make sure 'Color" adjustment on your display is down to 0. Another step is convergence adjustment ,Flash Focus etc.If TV stil shuts off after all, your Red picture tube is short inside, take crt pcb from tube, make sure TV is unpluged from power before that, and turn Tv on .If stays On tube need replacment...good luck)

I replaced the STK chips and 3 fuses per the research I did on the convergence and blinking red light problem. Plugged all back in and had convergence issues and hor - vert was off so I tried to adjust...

Make sure you didn't bridge anything, knock anything off the deflection board you shouldn't have. All the resistor values on both sides of the STK match up, and most importantly Labeled all your plugs properly and placed them in the right spot, because if they are switched, you'll get a convergence issue. Make sure the fuses are still good too and that all the terminals that all the plugs go into have good solder joints.
Also, there is a voltage divider.
Make sure that none of the wires got loosened when you pulled this plug. (Particularly the ground wire) Let me know!

Toshiba 53h71 Blue Shadow/Shade problem

If the shadow is off to one side then it's a convergence adjustment. If it is a blue outline it may be your blue focus. There should be focus knobs behind the speaker cover. They are usually covered by a piece of black tape. The convergence screen should have a prompt for changing the color you are controlling, possibly exit button. Toshiba has several of the older owner manuals on their site as archived models.

Toshiba back projetion TV convergence problem

You probably have a convergence IC going bad. This is a very common problem. They run hot and wear out over time.

Samsung Rear Projection HD tv IC convergence green only messed up now. Help please

To check the pico fuses you're merely testing for continuity. If you get an infinate reading you're in good shape - if it doesn't budge the meter the fuse is open... That's a really easy set to work on for convergence problems - the convergence board is easily removed..
Another cause for mis-alignment like that are the youke return resistors... There are several out front of the convergence amps that may have changed in value. They are 3.9 ohm - 2w resistors and will look identical to Rz123 and Rz124 (same banding). For those simply select a low ohm setting on the meter and check to see if any of them have some way low or way high reading...
Need anything else just ask...

Sony KP57WV700 Convergence problem

Problem could be low voltage from power supply as well as the amp ic for the convergence board. Need to take voltage readings from the test points on the board and compare them to the readings you should be getting from the service manual.
